Fact check because the media wouldn’t Massachusetts unemployment rate fell from 5.6% to 4.7% under Romney – rose to 6.1% under Deval Patrick

mitt-romney-paul-ryan-2012-logoAll last week we had media hacks ‘fact checking’ everything Republicans said at their convention to try and distort their words. So it’s time to fact check these progressive liberal Democrats starting with current  Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick. Yes, the Democrats used Patrick to bash Mitt Romney for his performance as governor of Massachusetts. Problem for Deval Patrick and the rest of the Democrats is facts. They are a stubborn thing. When Mitt Romney became governor of Massachusetts, unemployment was 5.6%. When Romney left office, it was just 4.7%. Remember when 4.7%  unemployment was considered just ‘decent’? Now, the country’s unemployment is 8.3% and that’s consider a ‘good stable’ economy. In Massachusetts, the unemployment rate is 6.1%. Good compared to the national average, but still lousy and 1.4$ higher than when Romney left office.

Oh and BTW, Massachusetts currently has 210,958 unemployed workers.

Romney left office well before the Great Recession.

Deval Patrick is the “Master” at putting the lipstick on the infamous pig. Mitt Romney lowered unemployment from 5.6 to 4.7… the only way to grow jobs at 4.7 is to increase the population. Mitt left Mass in a SURPLUS, then Deval Patrick spent it and drove us into debt. Shame on him.
