Virginia liberal Democrat Rep. Gerry Connolly says veterans are ‘unqualified to serve’ in Congress – compares his voting record to service in Iraq (Video)

You people in Virginia who keep voting for Democrats like Gerry Connolly or Jim Moran should be really proud of yourself you know that? The latest is leftist Democrat Rep. Gerry Connolly making his pitch to be re-elected in a week by trashing his opponent Colonel Chris Perkins as ‘unqualified to serve’ in Congress because he is an Iraq war vet. Connolly also had the nerve to compare his service in Congress to that of Col. Perkins’ service in Iraq by claiming he has ‘sweat equity’ into his district.

Connolly came very close to losing his seat in 2010. I haven’t seen any polls for this race, but I hope he’s toast. What a scum.

    Please point out in the video where he says anything close to vets being unqualified to serve in Congress.
    What I did hear him say was that he honored his opponent’s service but
    criticized the fact that in a decade since retiring from the military he
    hadn’t been involved in his community and had not even bothered to
    vote.
