Safety is more important than privacy? This must be the Chicago way or something. Chicago alderman Willie Cochran wants GPS track on all firearms because as he puts it ‘safety is a much more important issue than privacy.’ I wonder if Willie Cochran is willing to include those guns used by body guards used by Rahm Emanuel and other repulsive high profile leftists who use them that live in Chicago. You know, like screwy Louie Farrakhan? How exactly can their be safety if there isn’t privacy in the first place? If only someone suggested GPS tracking devices on all those Fast and Furious weapons Obama and Eric Holder gave to the Mexican drug cartels.
“Let’s measure what it costs in hospital costs, lost wages, deaths,” he said.
As for the privacy of gun owners who could be tracked with the GPS chips in their guns, Cochran said, “safety is … a much more important issue than is privacy.”
“It is extremely important that we look past this privacy issue, at this point, and understand how important it is for us to address the issue of safety,” he added.
I wonder if Alderman Cochran wants to include GPS tracking devices the next time an Obama family member returns to Chicago with the Secret Service?
