Fox News executive VP of news Michael Clemente statement on DOJ spying
Michael Clemente is the executive Vice President of News for Fox News. Clemente issued a statement after it was learned that Obama/Eric Holder’s DOJ not only spied on James Rosen, but also William La Jeunesse & producer Mike Levine. Michael Clemente statement (via MediaBistro) is below:
We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co-conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter. In fact, it is downright chilling. We will unequivocally defend his right to operate as a member of what up until now has always been a free press.”
Perfectly said Mr. Clemente.
Last week Bill O’Reilly said the AP spying scandal wasn’t really a scandal. I wonder if he’s suddenly changed his mind now that three of his co-workers were also spied on.
Unlike O’Reilly, Megyn Kelly didn’t dismiss the AP spying scandal. Kelly wasn’t too happy when she learned about and reported about the spying on Fox News.
