Vice President Joe Biden’s wild-child niece was excused from appearing in Manhattan Criminal Court Wednesday because she’s being treated for “anger” issues at a posh inpatient facility in Delray Beach, Fla., The Post has learned.
Caroline Biden, 26, charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and harassment in a Sept. 17 meltdown after a confrontation over unpaid rent with her roommate at her ritzy Tribeca pad, will see the charges dismissed if she stays out of trouble for six months, Manhattan Judge Ann Scherzer agreed Wednesday.
“She’s undergoing treatment for the issues she has with anger management,” said defense lawyer James Liguori after the brief appearance sans his emotionally volatile client. “She’s truly sorry for what she did and she’s truly remorseful.”
The silver-spoon Georgtown University grad didn’t have to show up in court and Biden had two high-price lawyers – including Ira London – plead her case in her absence.
