Republican David Jolly beats far left Democrat Alex Sink in FL13 special election

Republican David Jolly has beaten far left progressive liberal and 2010 Florida governor loser Alex Sink! David Jolly sunk Sink 48% to 46.5%. The libertarian candidate pulled in around 4.5% to 5%. I’m pleasantly surprised to see David Jolly win. Voter turnout was low, only about 38%. I fully expected Marxist Alex Sink to win this district, as it voted for Obama in 2012. I guess that ObamaCARE albatross is real. It’s a Jolly good night in Florida, and for America. Oh and BTW, Alex Sink won this district when she ran for and lost Florida Governor in 2010.

Update (final vote totals):
David W. Jolly 48.52% 89,095
Alex Sink 46.64% 85,639
Lucas Overby (LPF) 4.84% 8,893
WRITE-IN 0.18% 325
Total votes cast: 183,927

Close, but no cigar for you Sink. Call Bill Clinton.

The mendia hyped this election (thinking Sink would win because Obama carried the district) as a kickoff to the 2014 election season and if it will be a referendum on ObamaCARE. I guess they were right. Even though Bill Young represented this district for 40+ years before he died, the district for a center-left district. Bill Young often voted with Democrats to keep his job.

No amount of progressive liberal smearing, or sign stealing could help Alex Sink and the Democrats tonight. Suck it progressives!

You’ll notice a somber tone in the media reports tonight.
