A hostage situation in Roubaix France near Belgium is unfolding as I type this. With this being the early states of the Roubaix hostage situation, it’s not yet known if this is related to the Paris terrorist attacks or the lockdown that has been put in Belgium since the weekend. Some reports are already coming out that this is just a robbery or burglary situation. Roubaix does have a large Muslim population though.

France’s president François Hollande is in DC, meeting with Obama over the Paris terrorist attacks and being told “You had eight individuals with light weapons. That’s a hard thing to track.” I wonder what Obama’s excuse will be for this hostage situation in Roubaix or if Hollande has even been notified yet.
