Finally! After years of being held hostage by Iran, Amir Hekmati, Saeed Abedini are coming home in a prisoner swap with Iran. Also released is Washington Post reporter and Tehran reporter Jason Rezaian. In exchange, Iran is getting seven Iranian terrorist freed in US jails and $100 billion as part of the nuke deal.

Amir Mirza Hekmati is a former United States Marine. He was arrested in Iran for allegedly spying for the CIA in Iran. Amir Mirza Hekmati was sentenced to death in 2012.

Who are the seven Iranians Obama-Jarrett gave up to get these Americans home? No information is available on them yet. It’s just good to finally get these guys home. They are on their way to Switzerland as I type this.

As far as Robert Levinson goes, it looks like Iran is holding on to him as a bargaining chip to be used at a later day. I wonder if the Washington Post will continue to keep a Tehran bureau chief after what Iran pulled with Rezaian.

Regardless, finally some good news bringing home Amir Mirza Hekmati, Saeed Abedini and Jason Rezaian. We’ll see how well they were treated by Iran when they finally make it back to American soil.
