Newt Gingrich was loudly booed when he criticized Mitt Romney’s record at Bain Capital

While there were a smattering of well deserved boos, they were hardly “loud.”

Newt Gingrich again was the only candidate to own the ABC media hacks. I don’t know why the other GOPers are so timid and refuse to call out the media.

There was also a good exchange between Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich stemming from Paul’s calling Gingrich a “chicken hawk.” I’m hardly a Ron Paul fan, but I thought he destroyed Gingrich in this exchange over the whole “deferment issue.” Ron Paul claimed Gingrich sought military deferments to avoid serving in the Vietnam War. His excuse was he had a wife and a child. Gingrich denied seeking deferment:

“Dr. Paul has a long history of saying things that are inaccurate and false,” Gingrich said. “The fact is, I never asked for deferment. I was married with a child. It was never a question. My father was, in fact, serving in Vietnam in the Mekong Delta at the time he’s referring to.”

Then Ron Paul fired back:

“When I was drafted,” Paul said, “I was married and had two kids, and I went.”

Chalk that up for Doctor Paul.

Maybe the Obama regime can hire the other ABC reject Christiane Amanpour to be a “senior” policy adviser to the US ambassador to England.

Unfavorable views of Barack Obama inched to their highest level of his presidency in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, but he’s still more popular than his front-running potential Republican challenger, Newt Gingrich.

Sources say network honchos are mulling who might replace the award-winning journalist, who has struggled in the ratings since she jumped from CNN to take the reins of the public affairs show in August 2010. “There are discussions of Amanpour’s role changing to that of a global affairs anchor,”

Possible replacements for the hack include the usual list of ABC hacks, Jonathan Karl, Terry Moran, Matthew Dowd and fake Jake Tapper.

“I understand the frustrations being expressed in those protests,” Obama told ABC News senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper in the interview to air this evening on ABC News “Nightline” from Jamestown, N.C.
“In some ways, they’re not that different from some of the protests that we saw coming from the Tea Party. Both on the left and the right, I think people feel separated from their government. They feel that their institutions aren’t looking out for them,” he said.

Yea, Obama is that braindead. The Occupy Wall Street loons don’t feel “separated” from government. They want MORE government, to coddle them for rest of their pathetic little lives.

Oh and BTW you idiot progressives, especially the ones at ABC. Herman Cain wasn’t a “pizza man.” He was a CEO of a pizza company. That’s a little bit different. I’d venture to say that this is probably racism on ABC’s part.

NPR’s apparently a great place to go to denounce Herman Cain. On Friday’s edition of Tell Me More, host Michelle Martin cued up Cain’s remarks suggesting the Occupy Wall Street protests are “planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration.” Quite obviously, you can disagree with that theory without comparing Cain to segregationists.

But that’s precisely what sports columnist and ESPN regular Kevin Blackistone said to Martin: “It sounds like to me what people who used to run the White Citizens Councils used to say in the South during the civil rights movement, that it was outside agitators who were coming in and stirring up black folks down there.”

He added: “How disingenuous it is of a CEO of a company or anybody to make a suggestion that it is the unemployed’s fault that they are unemployed at a time when corporate America is breaking the record profits in 2011, is flushed with cash in terms of its coffers, and unemployed people are over 14 million. Absolutely disingenuous.”

“After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”

I’m still waiting to hear from all the idiots who are so furious over this remark where Williams directly called Obama, Hitler. I guess it’s the same people who were so offended when media hacks and left wing nut jobs routinely called Bush, Hitler and held posters with the Hitler moustache. Oh wait. Never mind. Sarah Palin “hate fu*k” jokes with Mike Tyson is allowed on BSPN. Hank Williams, not so much. The Blaze has videos of the arguments on the BSPN network over Williams.

The only group that thinks the media is too “conservative” is of course Democrats. Even the majority of independents the the lame stream media to be too liberal biased.

Those results and others underscore the depths of this summer of economic discontent. With unemployment stubbornly over 9 percent, 77 percent say the country is headed seriously off on the wrong track, up 17 points this year to the most since the end of George W. Bush’s presidency.

In a further sign of the deep hazards to Obama, Americans by a 2-1 margin, 34 percent to 17 percent, now say his administration’s efforts have done more to harm rather than help the nation’s economy. The number who say his economic program has improved the economy has plummeted by half since January. And 47 percent say it’s had no effect.

Obama has scheduled a major address on the employment situation Thursday evening before a joint session of Congress. He’ll face a tough public audience: In this poll, produced for ABC News by Langer Research Associates, a record 62 percent disapprove of his work on the economy, as many disapprove of his work on job creation specifically, and by 50-45 percent slightly more describe themselves as pessimistic rather than optimistic about employment in the year ahead.

 ”Do you think that’s true that he hasn’t shown flexibility since he’s, he’s sort of come completely to the Republican tenor of the debate?”

Today, according to Gateway Pundit, ESPN warned Azinger not to tweet “politcal matters” as it violates the company’s updated social network policy for on-air talent. That’s a bit odd because back in June, one of ESPN’s “on-air talents” named Kenny Mayne made a nasty and vile tweet about Sarah Palin. Not a peep was uttered by ESPN then.
