Obama regime pushing new backdoor Cap and Trade tax
Isn’t that how it’s always done with Obama and the rest of the progressive liberal Democrats? One thing that progressives have mastered is bribing, making deals behind closed doors, and finding ways of screwing the America people in the dark of night. According to Newsmax, the Obama regime is taking action on its own, despite the fact Cap and Trade didn’t pass in the 111th Congress, and certainly wouldn’t in the 112th Congress. Starting Jan. 2, authorities will consider greenhouse gases when approving emission levels for large new industrial plants.
White House official Carol Browner admits there is “potential” Cap and Trade may pass in lame duck session of Congress
You think Cap and Trade is dead? Think again. White House energy official Carol Browner admitted on Sunday’s “Meet the Press” that there is “potential” that the lame duck session of Congress after the November 2nd elections could pass Cap and Trade. According to Politico, Browner appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and said Obama is still committed to pushing the bill through the Senate. Browner also said there was “potential” for the bill to come up in a post-election, lame-duck session of Congress.
Gird your loins – Here comes the Cap and Trade! Harry Reid has “rough draft” of the bill
Get ready, here comes Cap and Trade! Harry Reid announced that he had assembled a “rough draft” of a Cap and Trade bill. Reid’s goal is to bring the legislation to the Senate floor the week of July 26. Washington Post says the bill would include provisions aimed at cleaning up the Gulf of Mexico and preventing further offshore drilling disasters, along with alternative energy and conservation incentives. The package is part of a broader effort by progressive liberal Democrats to make sure your electricity rates necessarily skyrocket. to promote initiatives with job-creation potential, as members of Congress head out on the 2010 campaign trail. The crazed sex poodle Al Gore was not available for comment.
Obama science czar John Holdren on Redistribution of Cap & Trade Revenue From U.S. to Global South
More weird stuff, from one weird dude in a marxist regime. The grungy, crusty, John Holdren is Obama’s “Science” Czars, and these comments were made before Obama was ever elected.
Major Part of Democrats Cap-Trade Bill ‘Essentially Written by BP’
Well this might explain why Obama hasn’t bothered contacting BP Ceo Tony Hayward. It also might explain why some 50 days later, Obama is still looking for “who’s ass to kick.” According to CNSNEWS, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said that BP, the energy company responsible for the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, helped craft the bill proposed by Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) that would tax businesses for carbon emissions and raise the cost of fuel for American consumers.
“The problem for Democrats is that debating the Democrat cap-and-trade bill might not fit neatly into the White House messaging plan since it’s been widely reported that a major part, a major part of the Kerry-Lieberman bill was essentially written by BP,” McConnell said on the Senate floor on Wednesday. “Let me say that again. A major part of the Kerry-Lieberman bill was written by BP. This is clearly an inconvenient fact.”
Cap and Trade gets a new name – Behold the “American Power Act” of 2010
I wonder why progressive liberals came up with a name like the “American Power Act” for their latest attempt at Cap and Trade. After all, doesn’t a name like that suggest American exceptionalism? We know how big progressive liberals are on that. Regardless, the American Power Act of 2010 is sponsored by Senators John Kerry, and Joe Lieberman, I-Conn. According to the Associated Press, the bill would allow states to opt out of federal drilling up to 75 miles from their shores, a concession to lawmakers concerned about offshore exploration in the wake of the Gulf Coast oil spill. The bill also includes a gas tax. There are 3 progressive Republicans that could be the difference between this bill passing or not. Lindsey Graham of course, and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. The other progressive Republican RINO John McCain wouldn’t dare vote for this bill in an election year.
Get ready to for the Gas Tax
According to American Solutions, Senators John Kerry (D-MA) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT) will push a new gas tax next week as a part of Cap and Trade. If passed, Cap and Trade could cost you an additional $800 per year for your energy costs! According to one source familiar with the process, the legislation will be unveiled on Wednesday, May 12th. Kerry and Lieberman will be without their original Republican cosponsor, Lindsey Graham, but the South Carolina Senator has pledged to work to pass the legislation. “He’ll be supportive but not with us,” Lieberman said.
Obama wants Cap and Trade bill done ‘as quickly as possible’

Time for yet another Louisiana Purchase – Mary Landrieu wants Obama to give up Cap and Trade until after 2010
After all her whoring along with Ben Nelson, and other so called “Centrist Democrats”, Mary Landrieu doesn’t want to deal with Cap and Trade in 2010. According to Politico:
Bruised by the health care debate and worried about what 2010 will bring, moderate Senate Democrats are urging the White House to give up now on any effort to pass a cap-and-trade bill next year.
Cap and Trade done until the spring 2010
Harry Reid toda, who might be in his last few months in the senate by Spring of 2010 as he is trailing badly in the polls to both Republican challengers has decided to “put” off debate on the joke that is Cap and Trade until the spring time. This is yet another sign of the weakening political support for this joke of a bill. Barbara Boxer, and John Kerry can cry themselves to sleep tonight for all I care. will to tackle a long-term environmental issue at a time of high unemployment and economic uncertainty. Though, this would appear to signal that the bill is likely toast, don’t be so sure says the Wall Street Journal:

Libtard fearmongering: The fate of our planet hangs in balance. The Senate must take action.
Michelle Malkin got an e-mail sent out by Democrats.com and the League of Conservation Voters. In the e-mail meant to try and provoke people to get support to support Cap and Trade the e-mail deemed that this is “the most important global warming vote in years”. Fine, we all know libtards/dems are nuts and believe that Cap and Trade will some how many sort of difference to the atmosphere, when China and India continue to pollute at air at a faster rate and have no intention of stopping. But somehow, this e-mail also turned into a Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich bashfest.

Anti Crap and Tax and Anti ObamaCARE protests today
Happening at congressional offices all across the country today. Taxpayers are saying no to the Democrats’ ObamaCARE and Crap and Tax plans. Michelle Malkin will be updating with pictures all day. At the time of this post she has some pictures at Sen. Claire McCaskill’s office in St. Louis.
Sarah Palin – A ‘Cap and Tax’ Road to Economic Disaster
Sarah Palin’s opeD in the Washington Post is creating quite a stir, liberals are squirming to try and attack her again, as yet again they can’t handle the truth. In Palin’s Washington Post opeD, Palin explains what at least some people knew the day the idea of this Crap and Tax bill was mentioned. Heres a snippet from the Palin post:
Unfortunately, many in the national media would rather focus on the personality-driven political gossip of the day than on the gravity of these challenges. So, at risk of disappointing the chattering class, let me make clear what is foremost on my mind and where my focus will be:
I am deeply concerned about President Obama’s cap-and-trade energy plan, and I believe it is an enormous threat to our economy. It would undermine our recovery over the short term and would inflict permanent damage.
American prosperity has always been driven by the steady supply of abundant, affordable energy. Particularly in Alaska, we understand the inherent link between energy and prosperity, energy and opportunity, and energy and security. Consequently, many of us in this huge, energy-rich state recognize that the president’s cap-and-trade energy tax would adversely affect every aspect of the U.S. economy.
There is no denying that as the world becomes more industrialized, we need to reform our energy policy and become less dependent on foreign energy sources. But the answer doesn’t lie in making energy scarcer and more expensive! Those who understand the issue know we can meet our energy needs and environmental challenges without destroying America’s economy.
Crap and Traitor Mark Kirk out of Illinois Senate race – or is he?
With Blago crook Roland Burris announcing today what a quitter he is, and isn’t going to run for the Illinois senate seat in 2010, the “republican” who was expected to make a run at the seat, Cap and Trader Mark Kirk is apparently withdrawling his name too. Or is he? according to Roll Call: “Kirk Says He’s Still Mulling Senate Race.”
Nationwide protests against cap-and-tax and socialized medicine scheduled for July 17
Michelle Malkin was on Fox and Friends this morning talking about the Tea Party movement’s next steps. The next step is a nationwide round of protests against cap-and-tax and socialized medicine is scheduled for July 17. In anticipation of the July 17th protests, Soros’s, MoveOn.org is organized its own series of rallies in favor Obamacare — but they were met and matched by counterprotesters who mobilized at the last minute to make their voices heard.
Cap and Trade delayed in the senate until after the August recess! Also the farce of Crap and Tax revealed
Great work to all of you who burned up the phone lines, sent your e-mail and faxes, and wrote letters to your congress people. The battle isn’t won yet, but you are making a difference. More from the Washington Post:
President Barack Obama’s push for quick action by Congress on climate change legislation suffered a setback on Thursday when the U.S. Senate committee leading the drive delayed work on the bill until September.
Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman Barbara Boxer said her self-imposed deadline of early August for finishing writing a bill to combat global warming has been put off until after Congress returns from a recess that ends in early September.
“We’ll do it as soon as we get back” from that break, Boxer told reporters. Asked if this delay jeopardizes chances the Senate will pass a bill this year, Boxer said, “Not a bit … we’ll be in (session) until Christmas, so I’m not worried about it.”
But Boxer did not guarantee Congress will be able to finish a bill and deliver it to Obama by December, when he plans to attend an international summit on climate change in Copenhagen.
“I want to take this as far as we can take it (before Copenhagen). The more we do the better,” Boxer said.
And if you need anymore proof as to what a farce Cap and Trade, a press release from the EPW even states:
is During a hearing today in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, EPA Administrator Jackson confirmed an EPA analysis showing that unilateral U.S. action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions would have no effect on climate.
Waxman: GOP and those against the Cap and Trade bill are anti-american
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), believes House Republican opposition to climate change legislation and the stimulus indicates they’re cheering against the good ol’ US of A. According to Politico:
“It appears that the Republican Party leadership in the Congress has made a decision that they want to deny President Obama success, which means, in my mind, they are rooting against the country, as well,” the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee
chairman told WAMU radio host Diane Rehm on Tuesday morning, promoting his new book, “The Waxman Report.”Still, he said that one House Republican leader, speaking to him after the climate change squeaker, predicted that “a lot” of GOP-ers would vote for the (presumably) weakened bill when it emerges from the Senate.
