HHS awards Obama’s pal Eric Whitaker $5.9 million grant
The corruption stinks so much, they don’t even bother to try and hide it anymore. According to White House Dossier the Urban Health Initiative, which received the $5.9 million tax payer funded grant was originally based on a smaller program launched during the last decade by Michelle Obama, who was an executive at the University of Chicago Medical Center. The UHI is headed up by Obama basketball and golf buddy Eric Whitaker, who has known the president since Obama’s days in law school and who also vacations with the first family on your dime. It’s just the Chicago way!

Wright admits that one of Obama’s “closest friends” offered him $150,000 to keep quiet until after the November 2008 elections. Obama himself even met with Rev. Wright in “secret, in a secure place.” Seems Obama himself begged Wright to shut up until after the election. The conservation in where Rev. Wright “allegedly” spills the beans on Obama in the “The Amateur” by Edward Klein’s which is an unauthorized biography of Obama.
‘I really wish you wouldn’t do any more public speaking until after the November election.’ He knew I had some speaking engagements lined up, and he said, ‘I wish you wouldn’t speak. It’s gonna hurt the campaign if you do that.’

Piggy Bill Maher asked Biden, asked then Senator Joe Biden what was more likely to contribute to the death of Americans, high-fructose corn syrup, coal or terrorism. Biden declared that high-fructose corn syrup and coal are more serious threats to Americans than a terrorist attack. See, he was as dumb them as he is now.

Obama only up five on Mitt Romney in liberal Michigan
Wow. Are the dimwits in Michigan that have seen progressive liberal Democrats turn Detroit in to shambles and make Michigan the armpit of the mid-west finally waking up? I doubt it, but I still find this poll very interesting. In a state like Michigan that hasn’t voted Republican for president since 1988, Mitt Romney is only five points behind the Marxist Obama in a poll six months out before the election. If Obama has to waste resources to try and “protect” Michigan, this could be the landslide that Dick Morris predicted. Of course anything Dick Morris usually predicts turns out to be the exact opposite. So we’ll see.

Obama attended four fundraisers on the west coast yesterday, but the biggest one was at overrated Hollywood hack George Clooney’s mansion in Studio City, California. The fundraiser was reportedly to net Obama about $12 million. But after Obama’s flip-flop on gay marriage, the total was expected to be upwards of $15 million. Now you can see why Obama suddenly “evolved” on gay marriage. Not because anything has changed, but because he’s so desperate to fund raise and pander to his fringe left wing base. Obama is your true etch-a-sketch candidate. So at Clooney’s fundraiser for Obama, Byron York reports that George Clooney listened intently to Obama’s propaganda with his hands folded as if in prayer. Report: House Dems trained on how to use race against the GOP
A training presentation to House Democrats this week included tips on how to raise the issue of race in defending government programs.
Training materials obtain by the Washington Examiner criticized “conservative messages [that are] racially ‘coded’ and had images of people of color that we commonly see used” and proposed tactics for countering Republicans’ “racially-coded” rhetoric.
The presentation was prepared by Maya Wiley, director of the Center for Social Inclusion (CSI). According to the group’s website, “right-wing rhetoric has dominated debates of racial justice – undermining efforts to create a more equal society, and tearing apart the social safety net in the process“ for ”more than a quarter century.” The group encourages government officials to focus on “bringing community organizers to the policy table” to “dismantle structural racism.”
The CSI was also founded by Wiley, herself a former employee of George Soros’ Open Society Institute, and is a social justice project of the Tides Foundation where Wiley sits as chairwoman of the board of directors.
The Examiner reports that the training materials used during the strategic messaging presentation indicate that Democrats plan “to portray apparently neutral free-market rhetoric as being charged with racial bias, conscious or unconscious.”
As samples of race-coded rhetoric, Wiley reminded the Democrats of statements by Republican presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich. Of Gingrich’s famous comment about President Obama, her distributed remarks note, “Calling a Black man ‘the food stamp president’ is not a race-neutral statement, even if Newt Gingrich did not intend racism.”
But the threshold for what constitutes racially charged messaging is not always so high. One of Santorum’s cited comments was: “Give them more food stamps, give them more Medicaid is the administration’s approach, rather than creating jobs.” She also cited this comment from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., about raising taxes to fund government programs: “I’ve never believed that you go raise taxes on those that are paying in, taking from them, so that you just hand out and give them to someone else.”
Wiley, who did not respond to the Examiner’s inquiries yesterday, offered this warning to Democrats about talking to “someone [who] opposes racial justice” but could support Democratic policies: “Don‘t make the mistake of telling them they’re in the problem. It’s emotional connection, not rational connection that we need.“
Wiley also included advice for Democrats on how to frame future “race explicit” rhetoric: “Explain how each racial group is affected (recognize the unique pain of each group), but start with people who are White. Then raise racial disparities.“ By appealing to ”white swing voters while building support among voters of color,“ Wiley encouraged Democrats to focus on ”humanizing people of color” to win votes in November.
In this video posted on YouTube, Wiley talks about the importance of involving blacks and other minorities in voter drives and mobilizing blacks — especially in the south — through groups like ACORN and the far-left Working Families Party:
Going nuclear: Frustrated Harry Reid wants to reform the filibuster
I’m sure Harry Reid is frustrated that he can‘t get Republicans to sign on to his and President Obama’s liberal agenda. But I think he‘s probably even more frustrated that he can’t even get all the members of his own party to sign on to it. The answer, in Reid’s mind, is to reform the system:
“If there were ever a time when Tom Udall and Jeff Merkley were prophetic, it’s tonight,” Reid said on the floor. “These two young, fine senators said it was time to change the rules of the Senate, and we didn’t. They were right. The rest of us were wrong — or most of us, anyway. What a shame.”
Reid added: “If there were anything that ever needed changing in this body, it’s the filibuster rules, because it’s been abused, abused, abused.”
Reid’s comments came after he tried to quickly pass a House-passed bill aimed at reauthorizing the Export-Import bank. Republicans objected, asking for votes on five of their amendments. Reid filed a cloture motion, setting up a test vote for Monday evening to begin debate on the measure.
It takes 60 votes — and time-consuming cloture motions — to overcome a filibuster, a tool that has been employed with growing frequency by both parties over the years.
Of course, changing the filibuster rules would be enormously difficult to accomplish, given that it takes two-thirds of senators to do so.
Udall and Merkley were calling for the rules to be changed through a circuitous process by 51 votes, a move they called the “constitutional option” but that critics dubbed the “nuclear option.”

Gutsy call! Marxist Democrats considering moving their summer convention out of North Carolina after gay marriage ban
Obama’s announcement that she suddenly flip-flopped on gay marriage (because he was desperate for gay donations) has really reshaped the election already. Gay marriage wouldn’t exactly be a pressing issue coming November election day, but the people in some states wouldn’t exactly be thrilled with Obama’s flip-flop. A day after 61% of North Carolina voters voted to ban gay marriage in their state. Now Marxist Democrats are in a tizzy, and considering removing their summer convention from North Carolina. After all is said an done, North Carolina is no longer a battle ground state. The Republicans will win the state easily in November after the Democrat meltdown. I also thing Virginia will be a lot easier for Romney to win in November now too because of the Democrat freak out. They should really consider Cuba in August.
