White House gives “blunt warnings” to democrats to not appear on Fox News

Chicago style politics has never been as blatant as it is now. With all the talk about some BS truce between Obama/Fox News, at least one Democratic political strategist has gotten a blunt warning from the White House to never appear on Fox News Channel, according to The Swamp. One Democratic strategist said that shortly after an appearance on Fox he got a phone call from a White House official telling him not to be a guest on the show again. The call had an intimidating tone, he said.

Fox News dominates election night ratings, HLN beats MSNBC in demo group, CNN ends up dead last in 4th place

Fox News Channel dominated election night ratings once again averaging 4.04M Total Viewers between 8pm-11pmET. For the A25-54 demographic group which is usually considered the most important measurement of ratings, Fox News averaged 1.13M during primetime. At 11pmET, America’s Election HQ kept up the momentum averaging 2.37M Total Viewers and 841K in the demo, according to Media Bistro.

Hannity and Colmes final show – byebye punching bag

Poor Alan Colmes just couldn’t take being Sean Hannity’s punching bag anymore after being one since October of 1996. The final Hannity and Colmes show aired last night on Fox News with the usual, thank yous, goodbyes, etc. Now even though I can’t stand the guy, especially the way he’s being selling out Israel in recent weeks, everyone will miss his perpetually arching left eyebrow. Maybe Hussein can put Colmes in his cabinet now. Maybe he can even replace Bill Richardson!

All Votes Are In: Cable News Claims Huge Victory in 2008 and guess who came out #1?

Those who claim Fox News is nothing more than some right wing conspiracy channel either need to stop watching the channel, or come to the realization that Fox News is simply the only network without a completely liberal biased “staff”. Fox News remained the undisputed news champ. Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes’s network celebrated its seventh consecutive year as the cable-news rating leader in primetime and total day among viewers and the key 25-to-54 demographic. And 2008 was Fox News’s highest-rated year ever in both total day and primetime. The dominant all-news network saw its primetime average grow 41% from 2007 to 2.059 million viewers last year, almost as many as CNN and MSNBC combined. In terms of household primetime ratings in 2008, Fox News ranked No. 4 among all cable networks with a 1.7 average, up 31% from 2007, according to Disney ABC Television Group analysis of Nielsen data. Maybe if Sean Hannity or Bill Oreilly would have announced they get a tingling sensation up their legs in regard to John McCain or Sarah Palin, the ratings would have done better. Congrats Fox News! LOL @ the you CNN and MSNBC.

BlagObamaGate continues: Emanuel wanted to keep his seat ‘warm’

I know its been cold in a lot of parts of the country, hecks in even been “cold” here in L.A. (at least by L.A. standards). It seems as though, Emanuel (before heading off to Africa for a “vacation”) was worried about his congressional seat getting too cold. In addition to talking with Gov. Blagojevich about who would fill President-elect Barack Obama’s Senate seat, Obama’s newly minted chief of staff had something else on his mind: his own congressional seat. Just after accepting the top post with Obama, Rahm Emanuel discussed with Blagojevich the possibility of keeping his congressional seat “warm” for him for a couple of years, the Sun-Times has learned. Emanuel expressed interest in returning one day to his elected position because he was on track to become U.S. House speaker, the Sun-Times previously reported. An Obama transition team report released Tuesday indicates Emanuel talked with the governor days after the election. Sources said Emanuel broached with Blagojevich the subject of finding a candidate to temporarily fill the seat. But Emanuel isn’t accused of promising something in return. Even the Obama biased Politico is beginning to think the Obama Blago report creates more questions than it answers.
