Virginia Democrat Jim Moran – If you are against bringing Gitmo scum to New York, you are un-american

Khalid-Sheikh-Mohammed2009I’ll say one thing for Democrats. They have sure cornered the market on un-american “slurs” at Americans who disagree with them. For those who don’t know who Jim Moran is, he is a congressman from Virginia’s 8th district. By his Moran’s “logic” 64% of Americans polled by CNN are un-American. According to TPM:

“They see this as an opportunity to demagogue,” he said. “They will seize on any opportunity to do that, and that means they’ll even take a stand that’s un-American.”

“It’s un-American to hold anyone indefinitely without trial,” Moran added. “It’s against our principles as a nation.”

Kinda like when Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi called people who disagree with government’s takeover of healthcare un-american too.

Hey! Lets move Gitmo prisoners to supermax in Thomson Illinois!

Khalid Sheikh MohammedSince every day it seems Obama and his porkulus is a complete and utter failure for creating jobs, liberals Dick Durbin (Illinois Senator) and Governor Pat Quinn have instead considered moving about 100 Gitmo scum to a supermax facility in Thomson, Illinois. Despite being completely funded by taxpayers (which democrats always seem to have problems remembering), Obama’s admin “economic impact analysis” says the federal purchase and operation of Thomson could generate $1 billion for the local economy over four years and create between 2,340 and 3,250 jobs according to the Chicago Sun Times. Now isn’t that special?

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four the four other GITMO detainees transfered to New York have been granted full rights and protection under the U.S. Constitution.

As insane as it is that these KSM and the other four muslim terrorist scum are even coming to New York for trial, one thing may have been lost in the translation with this happening. By transfering the GITMO scum, these a**holes now been granted
full rights and protection under the U.S. Constitution. According to the Last Crusade, the trial is expected to cost over $100 million and may drag on for many years. According to American Spectator, former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, who as a judge presided over a trial stemming from the first attack on the World Trade Center, on Friday warned that the Obama administration’s decision to bring 9/11 “mastermind” Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to New York, along with the other GITMO detainees, reflected that pre-9/11 mindset that viewed terrorism as a simple criminal matter. Also, under the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution:

Mr. Mohammed and the other “alleged” terrorists will have the right to a speedy trial, the right to publicly paid counsel, the right to immediate access to all government evidence – – including the most sensitive intelligent files – – that can be used against him, the right to remain silent, the right to obtain witnesses in his favor, the right of protection against self incrimination, and the right to participate in jury selection.

Senator James Webb (Democrat) isn’t exactly thrilled with the idea either.

Obama considering shipping Gitmo detainees to South Carolina

obama-mohammad.jpgYOU LIE Obama! Actually, residents of South Carolina better hope he is. According to Fox News, The Navy brig in Charleston, S.C., is “very much in play” as an option to transfer Guantanamo Bay detainees for military commission hearings in the U.S. Some of the sources of the Fox story describe the Naval Consolidated Brig — which has housed at least two enemy combatants since 9/11 — as a leading option being considered by the task force reviewing the Guantanamo issue.

Diane Feinstein wants Gitmo detainees in California

On behalf of this California resident, Diane Feinstein, why don’t you GFYS. I don’t want these terrorist scums on U.S. soil, let alone in my home state. Feinstein, who compared turning on the water for the farmers in Central California to “Pearl Harbor” now would be fine sending the Gitmo detainees to the supermax prisons in California too! This one the heels of California releasing thousands of regular prisoners because of budget problems. Absoutely brilliant! Diane Feinstein is making Barbara Boxer look almost sane.

White House close to choosing U.S. Location to Hold Gitmo Detainees

The White House is close to selecting a U.S. location for some GITMO detainees to be transferred to once GITMO actually closes, Fox News mentions the following quote from an Obama administration official:

“We are in the final stages of locating a secure facility in the U.S. where detainees can be held,” the official told Reuters.

Emergency townhall meeting Standish, Michigan – NO Jidhadist in our backyard!

As Hussein considers to dump the Gitmo terrorists in supermax prisons in America in order to uphold the executive order he signed back in January to close Gitmo by Jan 2010, people are rising up against the prospects of these terrorists not only being allowed on American soil, but basically in their backyards! Michelle Malkin posted info on the emergency town hall called for tommorow:

Pat Roberts threatens to ‘shut down the Senate’ over Gitmo detainees

The AP reported Monday that Hussein Obama is examining the Kansas facility as well as a Michigan prison as destination for accused terrorists after they close down the Guantanamo Bay facility. I don’t know how many readers out there are from either Kansas or Michigan, but I wonder what your opinion would be of having these terrorist scum in your state in a “supermax”? Pat Roberts, senator for Kansas isn’t exactly pleased with the idea. According to The Hill:

Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) threatened to “shut down the Senate” before he allows terrorist suspects to be relocated to Leavenworth, Kansas.

Roberts heatedly pledged to prevent detainees currently housed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to be relocated to a prison facility in his home state.

“I’ve said it once. I’ll say it many more times: Not in my back yard. Not in Kansas,” Roberts said in a press conference with Kansas reporters. “I will shut down the Senate before I’ll let that happen.”

Jihad coming to a supermax near you! Beds being cleared for Gitmo detainees

Uh oh! As we’ve gone now over 6 months since Hussein Obama signed the “close Gitmo act by Jan 2010″, and he still has no place to put them as no other countries are willing to take more than 1 or 2, it now appears that the Obama administration is moving around prisoners in an attempt to clear out beds for remaining Gitmo detainees. According to 9/11 Families for a Safe & Strong America:

Since June 30, President Barack Obama has cleared two dozen beds at Supermax for Gitmo detainees and today Senate Democrats will attempt to block a vote on Senator Jim Inhofe’s amendment [S.Amdt.1559] to the Defense Authorization bill (S.1390) for FY 2010. The amendment would prohibit the transfer of detainees from Guantanamo to any facility in the United States. (A final vote on the Defense authorization may come as early as this evening.) In addition, Senator Inhofe is also sponsoring the ‘Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility Safe Closure Act of 2009′ (S.370). We join Sen. Inhofe in asking you to call your Senators [(202) 224-3121] today and demand that they go on record, to vote ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ to keep terrorists out of America.

Previously, there was always a long waiting list to move infamous criminals, prisoners who had repeatedly assaulted guards or fellow prisoners, and high-security prisoners in grave danger in general population into Supermax. When President Obama took office there was one free bed. On June 30, 2009, Supermax inmate Eric Rudolph wrote Fox News saying it is already at capacity, “So even if they decide to move the detainees here I do not know where they would put them.”

In another sign that Jihad may be coming to US soil, Senate Democrats blocked the effort of U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) to consider his amendment that would permanently keep the military-run detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GITMO) open while preventing terrorist detainees from being transferred to the United States.

STOP the Transfer of Terrorist Detainees – sign the petition!

If you are an American who does not support the transfer of detainees from the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GITMO) to American soil, you can now sign a petition and support Jim Inhofe’s (R-Okla.) amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010. Inhofe will make sure that the Senate Majority and Minority leaders see this petition and are aware of your positions on this important national security matter. Inhofe will also continue fighting to expose the truth about GITMO and the consequences of proceeding with shutting it down.

Obama preparing executive order to indefinitely imprison Gitmo detainees

bush-obama-combined.jpgStymied by Congress so far, the White House is considering issuing an executive order to indefinitely imprison a small number of Guantanamo Bay detainees considered too dangerous to prosecute or release, two administration officials said Friday, according to Yahoo.

No final decisions have been made about the order, which would be the third major mandate by President Barack Obama to deal with how the United States treats and prosecutes terror suspects and foreign fighters.

That evil Bush was right again! Obama now doesn’t want 17 Chinese Uigher muslims released in US

Dag nabit! That evil chimp Bush was right yet again! Now Obama doesn’t doesn’t want these 17 Chinese Uigher muslims released in America either.

According to tapper:

The Obama administration asked the U.S. Supreme Court Friday to reject a request for a hearing from 17 Chinese Muslims currently being held at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, arguing they have no right to come to America despite a district judge’s orders last Fall that they immediately be brought to the U.S. and released.

“Petitioners are free to return to their home country, but they understandably do not wish to do so, because they fear inhumane treatment there,” reads the filing, signed by US Solicitor General Elena Kagan, Assistant Attorney General Tony West, and other Justice Department officials. “Petitioners are also free to go to any other country that is willing to accept them.”

The terrorists best hope in the US: Obama

Dick Morris has written a new column in the New York Post regarding Obama, and the Gitmo terrorists, heres a sample:

President Obama is attacking a red herring when he defends his decision to send the worst terrorists at Guantanamo to United States prisons by saying the likelihood of escape from secure federal facilities is very low.

Obama: Bush was wrong in seeking to prevent terrorist attacks – One of 28 “BLAME BUSH” remarks

During the dueling speeches today with Obama making excuses for closing Gitmo, and Cheney saying how less safe the country is today, one of the more interesting lines (or scary) to come from Obama’s mouth was basically: Bush was wrong in seeking to prevent terrorist attacks instead of prosecuting those who carry them out. Am I to assume now that Obama is no interested in trying to prevent a terrorist attack? Other profound statements from Obama included:  OPENING Gitmo caused all the terrorist problems. I’m sorry Mr. Obama, but was Gitmo open during 9/11? WTC 1 in 1993? The USS Cole bombing in 2000? I seem to have forgotten about that. Have we actually had a terrorist attack on American soil since Gitmo opened?  And now Obama wants to put the Gitmo detainees in a “Supermax” prison. Apprenetly, Obama doesn’t  understand the difference between Supermax prisoners that are citizens, terrorists caught on American soil and those captured on the battlefield. Of course Blame Bush was the theme for the day in Obama’s speech. You could count at least 28 references to blaming Bush.

Most transparent administration ever: Pentagon holding back report showing 1 in 7 freed Gitmo detainees returned to terrorism

Most of us knew about these numbers already, or at least something similar (like the 61 released “victims”) that went back to the battle field mentioned earlier in the year. Now, of all papers, the New York Times? is actually reporting that the Pentagon is supposedably holding back a report showing that 1 in 7 freed Gitmo detainees have returned to terrorism. Protect Hussein’s rep at all costs Pentagon!

BUT BUT BUT! This is the most transparent adminstration ever right! Lets blame Bush!

Obama denied and embarassed by his own democratic controlled Senate, AND a Federal Judge on Gitmo

Michelle Malkin has all the details of the stories breaking today.  The Senate amendment scrapping funding for Obama’s Gitmo closure has just been passed by 90-6. The decision represents a potentially serious setback for Obama, who as a candidate vowed to close Gitmo and signed an executive order beginning the process soon after he took office. Also today a federal judge rules that the US can continueindefinite detention of enemy combatants. U.S. District Judge John Bates’ opinion issued Tuesday night limited the Obama administration’s definition of who can be held. But he said Congress in the days after Sept. 11, 2001 gave the president the authority to hold anyone involved in planning, aiding or carrying out the terrorist attacks. Back to the ordering pizza for awhile Hussein while you think up what to do!

Here are the 6 democrats that voted FOR funding:

Germany wouldn’t take Gitmo detainees, Democrats don’t want to pony up $50 million for “transition/resettlement costs” Obama wants

Worried that terror suspects could be brought to the U.S, House Democrats on Monday rebuffed the Obama administration’s request for $50 million to relocate prisoners from the detention facility at Guantanamo, Cuba according to BreitBart:

When lawmakers unveiled a bill to pay for military and diplomatic efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan through the fall, the money to implement President Barack Obama’s executive order to shut down the prison within a year was missing from it. However, money could be transferred later—without a politically challenging vote—if it were needed to move the detainees.

The bill, which was released to key lawmakers, registers about $11 billion more than Obama’s $83.4 billion request, reflecting additional money for procurement of cargo plans, armored combat vehicles, helicopters and other items.

Funding for foreign aid accounts would be increased to about $10 billion, said a House aide briefed on the bill, including money to combat AIDS.

Last week, Defense Secretary Robert Gates told lawmakers that the $50 million request for relocating the detainees was simply a “plug in the budget” that was just “a hedge that would allow us to get started if some construction is needed to be able to accommodate those detainees.”

First no more ‘War on Terror’, now “enemy combatant” term

That muslim faith of Obama is still coming home to roost! In what has become the “Nation of Cowards” per Eric Holder, we can no longer call fighting terrorists “The war on Terror”. Now comes word from the Washington Post that the Hussein Obama administration will no longer be describing Gitmo detainees as “Enemy combatants”. I think Holder may be actually right. This country under the dictatorship of Hussein Obama is becoming a Nation of Cowards!

The Obama Administration today dropped the term “enemy combatant” to describe those held at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and increased the legal threshold needed to detain them.

The Justice Department disclosed the move in a court filing in response to a federal judge’s order seeking a definition of the term “enemy combatant.”

Judges have said the definition will play a key role in determining whether the government has justified the confinement of scores of detainees who are challenging their status in U.S. District Court.

In a break with the Bush Administration’s policies, the Justice Department said it would only seek to detain those who “substantially supported” the Taliban, Al Qaeda or associated forces or participated in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The Bush Administration had argued it could detain those who provided support to those groups and others “engaged in hostilities” against the United States and its allies.
