Hillary Clinton offends the Brits over Falklands
This administration continues to do a masterful job pissing off or country’s allies. The latest example is Hillary Clinton and the Brits. Nile Gardiner of the UK Telegraph writes:
The transcript of Hillary Clinton’s press conference in Buenos Aires with Argentine President Kristina Kirchner last night, has just been released by the State Department, and it is a real eye-opener. Her remarks represent an astonishing propaganda coup for the Peronist regime in its dispute with Britain over the Falklands, with Washington brazenly backing its position.Hillary Clinton’s statements at this press conference are highly significant, as they demonstrate a clear shift in US policy from neutrality (last week’s position) towards siding with the Argentine position of pressing for negotiations over the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands at the United Nations.
The Secretary of State, a highly skilled political operator, knows exactly what she is doing here. She is giving her full support for the official stance of Buenos Aires, despite the fact that Great Britain has made it clear that the sovereignty of the Falklands is non-negotiable. She makes no reference at all to the fact that Argentina recently threatened a blockade of the Falklands, or that its close ally Venezuela has been threatening war against Britain.

CNN reverting back to the Clinton News Network? Recently in an interview with Tavis Smiley Hillary Clinton said she didn’t want to be a two term Secretary of State, but rather only serve one term. That of course got the rumors going about whether or not she will run against Obama in a 2012 Democrat primary. Jack Cafferty is salivating at the thought of her challenging Obama. Is Hillary Clinton planning ahead for a run against Obama in 2012? Of course she wouldn’t admit it in her interview with Tavis Smiley on PBS, but you have to wonder. Much like Obama told ABC that he’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president,” Hillary Clinton basically told Tavis Smiley the same thing (for Sectretary of State). According to PBS, her interview with Tavis Smiley with air at 8pm PST tonight on PBS. According to Politico, Hillary Clinton basically tells Smiley she does not envision serving as Secretary of State for a second term. She also tells Smiley she is “absolutely not interested” in another presidential run (which many people know is pure BS):

While the media here scrambled to come up with excuses for Harry Reid’s “No Negro Dialect” comment directed at Obama, there were plenty of other developments that have come out too. There was of course the Bill Clinton comment about how Obama should have been getting the Clintons coffee a couple of years ago, completely ignored by the media. There was also the claim by Joe Biden that relations with Obama and his running mate grew so bad that Biden was excluded from campaign conference calls. In the year Gallup poll asking people who they admire most (both men and woman), and despite all the liberals and media smear machines against Sarah Palin, she comes in 1% point behind Hillary Clinton. Coming in third is Oprah, and behind her is Mrs. America Hater Michelle Obama:
When polled by political party of who the most admired man is, naturally most Democrats and even Independents rank Obama #1 and Republicans rank dubya top of the list. Personally, I don’t admire either one of them. But coming in 5th for Democcrats as most admired man surprisingly (or maybe not so surprisingly) is Tiger Woods!

Under the bus goes Hillary! White House Officials: Clinton Embarassing Us
Israel National News reports that a (anonymous) White House officials has told the New Republic magazine this week that the Obama administration has been embarrassed at least twice by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for revealing in public information and policies that the State Department was supposed to keep private between Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and the U.S. I’ve been embarassed at least twice by Obama bowing to the Saudi King and the Japanese Emperor, but that doesn’t count as news.
Palestinians Accuse Billary Clinton of Undermining Peace Talks With Shift on Settlements
Palestinians are now accusing U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton of undermining progress toward Mideast peace talks after she praised Israel for offering to curb some Jewish settlement construction. I say good for you Hillary, its about time you do something right! Although knowing Obama’s true feeling/attitudes towards Israel, this was probably nothing more than just lip service. After meeting Israeli and Palestinian leaders during a visit Saturday, Clinton called for an unconditional resumption of peace talks and welcomed Israel’s offer for a slowdown in settlement activity. But according to Fox News, Palestinians rejected the idea of resuming talks, reiterating their demand that Israel must first freeze all construction of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem — lands they claim for a future state.
Hillary Clinton – We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.
In between dissing Dubya and Pakistan, Hillary Clinton proudly admitted the following (from the Pakistan Daily Times):
“Maybe that’s the case; maybe they’re not gettable. I don’t know… As far as we know, they are in Pakistan,” Clinton told senior Pakistani newspaper editors in Lahore, AFP reported. “The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world… We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.
Hillary Clinton about to quit as Secretary of State to make run at Governor of NY?
Just heard on the Sean Hannity radio show from Bill Krystol that Hillary Clinton may be getting ready to resign as Secretary of State, so that she could make a run for Governor of NY. Wonder if Krystol mentions anything about this on the “all star panel” during the Special Report “all start panel”.
However, in an article at the New York Post, the story is gaining more steam. According to the NYP story Hillary Clinton is “fed up” with her lack of authority as Secretary of State:

Former top Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to charges he cheated investors out of at least $20 million in a massive Ponzi scheme. The 58-year-old Hsu pleaded guilty to 10 counts of wire and mail fraud before U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero. Don Surber has the details:

Hsu is Bernie Madoff’s Mini-Me.

The firm spent $590,000 on lobbying in the last 11 years, all but $10,000 of it with the lobbying firm of Lent, Scrivner & Roth. A search for funds with “Madoff” in their title in lawmakers’ personal investments did not find any members of Congress with their own funds invested with him.
The ‘tired’ excuse again, this time for Hillary Clinton
With all the talk during the election about how ‘old and tired’ John McCain would be, since he’s such an old man, it seems the tired excuse is getting to the new Hussein Obama adminsitration. First it was the ‘tired’ and ‘overwhelmed’ excuse when Obama embarassed the country with the 25 dvds given to Gordon Brown. Now apparently Hillary is tired too. Forget the whole reset button where she couldn’t even translate to Russian correctly. It seems orget the fact that State can’t translate Russian. Hillary doesn’t understand history. period! Reuters shows more brilliance from Hillary regarding the European Parliament:

Fox 5 New York reported last night that Sen. Charles Schumer tops the donor list of Madoff and his family, at $29,300. Schumer’s office said it had donated $8,000 of the stash to police and fire endowments.
Others who got donations from Madoff or his family were Democratic NJ Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who got $11,600; Hillary Rodham Clinton, who got nearly $9,000 for her Senate and presidential campaigns; disgraced former Republican Rep. Vito Fossella and Democratic Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who both collected $3,000; and Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel, who received $2,000.

And of course theres Billary Hillary Clinton’s continued pay to play problems coming home to roost. Good ole Billary Hillary Clinton goes before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee today to begin her confirmation process, but she’s hardly an unknown quantity. She served in the Senate for eight years, and the tradition of the club dictates an easy and comfortable confirmation process. Perhaps, though, we can hope that one member of the most exclusive political club on Capitol Hill might ask Hillary about her habit of paying back her husband’s donors:

The letters and donations involve pharmaceutical companies and telecommunications and energy interests. An aide to the senator said she made no secret of her involvement in many of the issues. Bill Clinton’s foundation declined to say when it received the donations or precisely how much was contributed.

My god, where is this ever going to end. All the talk about how Sarah Palin was never “vetted” properly during the election, and now yet another Obama staffer Hillary Clinton my be involved in a pay to play scandal of her own?
