Democrat Max Baucus says reading bills like ObamaCARE wastes his time

max-baucusWhy bother reading bills that you sponsor? It wastes time. That’s essentially what Democrat from Montana Max Baucus had the nerve the say at forum in Montana with Obama regime’s Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. When asked by an audience member Baucus had read the whole bill, and also according to The Hill saying before the answer:

“if not, that is the most despicable, irresponsible thing.” “if not, that is the most despicable, irresponsible thing.”

Baucus replied:

“I don’t think you want me to waste my time to read every page of the healthcare bill, You know why? It’s statutory language. … We hire experts.”

Senator Max Baucus drunk out of his mind on the US Senate Floor debating National health Care

max-baucusWho knew? Max Baucus drunk has replaced Ted Kennedy as the Senate drunk! I don’t know if Max Baucus’s girlfriend Melodee Hanes had a little drinking party before this debate, but this is pure comedy. What Senator Max Baucus, Democrat from Montana Drunk out of his mind on the US Senate Floor debating National health Care. Listen to him slur his words. Can’t say i’m really surprised. The US senate is loaded with drunks based on what they’ve done to this country. I wonder if the lame stream media will play this video during the week, maybe as a reminder to be careful on New Years Eve? Nah. All I know is that I want whatever Baucus was drinking for New Years Eve!

Update 12/29/09 – Baucus spokesman claims he was sober! A spokesman for Baucus released the following statement (from Politico):

“When his friend of 30 years Ted Kennedy, with whom he had fought so hard to provide health care to children, was being used as a cheap foil to oppose health care reform, Senator Baucus gave a passionate defense. Unfortunately, those who want to kill any meaningful reform, turned it into an unfounded, untrue personal smear internet rumor. This is beyond the pale and this type of gutter politics has no place in the public sphere. It is this type of slander that makes Montanans, and Americans, disgusted with the politics as usual in Washington. And what is even more sad is that such a personal attack would be given any validity at all, let alone being elevated to the status of ‘news’.”

Notice how he mentions a (former) drunk like Ted Kennedy? That’s rich. If this is what Baucus is like Sober, I’d hate to see him drunk!

Max Baucus’s girlfriend Melodee Hanes got a $14,000 pay raise and was taken on trips with PUBLIC MONEY

max-baucusThis isn’t quite on the level of Mark Sanford who’s wife has filed for divorce today, but its not far off. While Max Baucus didn’t pop off unannounced to South America to visit his mistress, instead he used our tax payer money to give a raise to his girlfriend Melodee Hanes and pop off to Asia with her on our dime. While Baucus isn’t a sitting Governor of a state like Sanford is, Baucus is chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee and the author of the current Senate ObamaCARE bill. According to Politico, he gave a nearly $14,000 pay raise to a female staffer Melodee Hanes in 2008. At the time he was becoming romantically involved with her, and later that year took her on a taxpayer-funded trip to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, though foreign policy was not her specialty.

But thats not all. According to Fox News, Melodee Hanes, Baucus’ former state director and now his live-in girlfriend, reportedly met at least twice with the Montana Democrat’s divorce attorney to talk about the Baucuses’ divorce eight months before the senator and his wife separated!
