Appearing On the Record with Greta Van Susteren, Bachmann was asked by Van Susteren if she would endorse Mitt Romney after his five state sweep in the north east. Bachmann danced around the actual endorsement part, but said she supports Romney, etc.

Mitt Romney wins five Northeastern state primaries, gives speech entitled “A better America begins tonight” (Video)
If Rick Santorum stayed in the GOP race, the only state he probably would have had a chance of winning tonight would have been his home state of Pennsylvania. The other four states: New York, Delaware, Rhode Island and Connecticut are Rockefeller Republican states that Romney probably would have won, especially after dumping millions of dollars in ads into them. So Romney decided to give a speech from New Hampshire tonight entitled “A better America begins tonight.” Personally, I’m not a Romney fan, but I thought his speech was good. He talks again about the economy, but failed to mention Obama’s $5 trillion in debt. Check out the following video of Romney’s speech. You can decide if you thought it was good or not. He probably will get there since Rick Santorum dropped out, but he isn’t “officially” there yet. Then you have him being interviewed by ABC hack Diane Sawyer asking him “Are you too rich to relate.” This coming from someone (Diane Sawyer) who probably makes around $10 million per year being the mediocre news anchor she is. Anyone ever ask Sawyer if she’s too rich to relate? During the whole interview, Sawyer looks like she has constipation or something with the faces she kept giving Romney. Normally ABC allows for embedding of their videos. For some reason, they don’t want this one embedded on other sites, so no video is available unless you click on the ABC site linked above.

Mitt Romney leads Obama by six in Virginia according to latest Roanoke College Poll
I’ll officially jump on the Mitt Romney bandwagon when he gets to 1,144 delegates. In the mean times, polls which don’t really mean much at this point are still fun to watch and report on, especially when they show good news. Virginia is a state Romney (or any Republican) will have to win in November. The latest Roanoke College Poll shows Romney leading Marxist Obama by six points at 46% to 40%. This despite all the recent polls from March which showed Obama leading all GOP candidates, including Romney in Virginia and the other important swing states. Obama crushed John McCain in this typically Republican state back in 2008.

Newt Gingrich sure sounded down on Fox News Sunday today with Brit Hume. Chris Wallace of course was with his family as Mike Wallace (his father) died at 93 on Saturday night. Brit Hume has been one of the biggest Romney shills on Fox News Sunday, and came off as very snotty towards Newt Gingrich. But Gingrich showed himself to be a better man, and answer every question Hume threw at him. Newt Gingrich said he will support Mitt Romney 100%, despite all the previous animosity between the two. Newt Gingrich knows (like I wish the ABRs would realize) that this election in November is the most important election our life time, and probably the most important election since 1860. Personally I think if Romney is the nominee and crushes Obama in November, Newt Gingrich would make a great cabinet member.

Uh Oh – Mitt Romney leads Rick Santorum in latest Pennsylvania GOP primary PPP poll
First. PPP is a left wing polling outfit, used by among others, the Daily Kos. However, their last few polls of recent primaries and caucuses have been pretty accurate. PPP’s latest polling on the Pennsylvania primary which is in three weeks now has Mitt Romney ahead of Rick Santorum by six points at 43% to 37%. If Santorum can’t even win his home state of Pennsylvania, then it will be a major embarrassment for him, no matter how much money Romney dumps in that state. April 24th GOP primaries are also scheduled in New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Delaware, all states Romney will probably win.
Wisconsin Republican primary voter turnout sets record – 70 percent higher turnout than 2008
So even with Mittens leading in delegates and many assume that he’s probably going to get to 1,144 delegates to be the GOP nominee, the GOP voting base is supposed to be depressed and unenthusiastic right? The media will try and spin it that way, but the fact remains that the Wisconsin Republican Primary last night had it’s highest voter turnout ever. The vote total was up 70% from 2008. In 2008, Wisconsin’s GOP primary was on Super Tuesday of that year. There was a total of 402,699 votes in the 2008 GOP primary, with John McCain beating Mike Huckabee 55% to 37%. This year, Romney beat Rick Santorum 43% to 38%. The total amount of votes in yesterday’s Wisconsin GOP primary was 704,288 votes! A 70 percent increase over 2008.

As expected by the most recent polls, Mitt Romney has won the three primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington D.C. Romney crushed his competition in Maryland and Washington D.C. At the time of this posting, the call for Wisconsin has just been made, so we don’t know what the final margin of victory will be. Romney will likely win 98 delegates tonight with his three wins.

Marco Rubio made a surprise endorsement on the Sean Hannity show on Fox News, endorsing Mitt Romney. I don’t know what to think of this. I like Marco Rubio, and I’m not a fan of Romney so it’s tough. Tomorrow George H.W. Bush is expected to give his second endorsement for Romney for whatever reason. The bigger news from Marco Rubio’s endorsement of Mitt Romney was how he danced around the question if he’d consider being Mitt Romney’s running mate and eventual Vice President. While he didn’t come out and say he’d consider it, he never said he wouldn’t do it either, which is a change from his previous statements. I don’t know how much of a difference Rubio’s endorsement of Romney will make though. April is looking like a good month for Romney even without the endorsement.

After Gingrich’s failed left wing attacks on Mitt Romney with Bain Capital and Romney’s smearing of Gingrich via Super Pac and campaign ads, it seems like the two might just be chums after all. According to The Other McCain, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney had a “secret” meeting early in the morning this past Saturday before the Louisiana primary, at the hotel Romney was staying at. Gingrich doesn’t even deny the two met, but claims no “deal” was made between the two.
