He is (currently) a top lawyer for the DNC e and personal lawyer to Obama and his chief campaign counsel. Yesterday Glenn Beck revealed a “shakeup” coming to the White House, yet no one knew. Well, here it is. Bob Bauer is emerging as a top candidate to replace Greg Craig as White House counsel. Craig is planning on leaving his job at the end of this year.
Chai Feldblum Obama’s nominee for The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission signed a petition praising polygamy
Another day, another Obama nominee revealed to be a complete nutjob. Chai Feldblum is Obama’s nominee to become commissioner for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The same Chai Feldblum that signed a manifesto praising polygamy and arguing traditional marriage should not be privileged above other forms of union. Rons Sims, another corrupt Obama nominee Ron Sims settles lawsuit with King Count – one of the largest settlements in Washington State ever!
Stefan Sharkansky of Sound Politics has now settled his King County public records lawsuit for $225,000, one of the largest settlements for public records violations in state history agains Obama HUS Nominee Ron Sims. More from Sound Politics (Sharkansky’s site):
The lawsuit stemmed from my December 2004 request for a list of all voters who voted in the November 2004 election. The county did not satisfy my request in full until January 2007.
The documents that they eventually provided to me revealed that county election officials unlawfully counted hundreds of ineligible ballots in the 2004 election: a multiple of Christine Gregoire’s 133-vote “margin of victory” over Dino Rossi in the contested gubernatorial race. Documentation of these illegal votes was withheld from discovery in the election contest trial and not released to me until months after the trial. Consequently, the trial was conducted in ignorance of these potentially outcome-changing illegal votes.
Additional documents that were released last month in discovery for my case confirmed that county officials both knew more about the illegal vote counting than they had previously acknowledged, and also knowingly withheld responsive documents from me during 2005 and 2006.
The exceptionally large (for records cases) settlement, which King County offered before trial, clearly recognizes the county’s culpability in this matter.
King County Executive Ron Sims, who is ultimately responsible for any records violations under his administration, appears to be on track for confirmation as Deputy Secretary of HUD. Sims is also well known for the Yousoufian public records scandal.
Obama – More “czars” than Russia ever had. Now “car czar” Steven Rattner involved in Pay to Play scandal!
Another day, another Obama admin crook. Michelle Malkin mentions that Steven Rattner, the leader of the Obama administration’s auto task force, was one of the executives involved with payments under scrutiny in a probe of an alleged kickback scheme at New York state’s pension fund, according to a person familiar with the matter. The Treasury’s car czar, Steve Rattner, has been dragged into the New York State retirement fund kickback scandal that led to several arrests earlier this week.
Rattner’s private equity firm, Quadrangle, paid a finder’s fee to one of the defendants in the kickback scheme for a $100 million investment the state retirement fund made in one of Quadrangle’s funds.
More troublingly, one of Quadrangle’s affiliate companies also paid $88,000 to acquire the DVD distribution rights for a movie produced by the New York State official who made the investment decision and his brothers. Quadrangle made this DVD payment during the time the state was considering making the investment.
And now the SIXTH Obama Cabinet nominee, HHS nominee Kathleen Sebelius is a tax cheat!
Count ‘em. SIX Tax Cheat. Well technically FIVE tax cheats, plus a spouse of a tax cheat. Today comes word about the fourth tax cheat nominated by Obama to his Cabinet. Today the tax cheat is Kathleen Sebelius, who replaced another tax cheat Tom Daschle to be Obama’s HHS. CBS has the info:

Hussein Obama may have trouble getting his #2 at Treasury confirmed according to Hotair, and this time Republicans aren’t to blame. Neal Wolin who worked on the Treasury team that drafted the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which Democrats like Banking Queen Barney Frank and Chris Dodd blame for the economic meltdown is on the firing line.
Yet another Obama Cabinet failure – Jon Cannon quits due to Clean Water Foundation scandals
Another day, another Obama Cabinet appointee has to withdraw due to scandals. Jon Cannon, nominee for Deputy U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator. In all my years of witnessing politics, I have NEVER seen anything like this with a President selecting his cabinet. Sure there is always problems with some original appointees, but this is beyond a comedy show. As of the time of this post, naturally no MSM have any news stories up about this scandal/withdrawl yet, but Michelle Malkin found this EPA report from 2007 on how the America’s Clean Water Foundation mishandled three huge government grants totaling nearlly $26 million:
The Foundation did not comply with the financial and program management standards and the procurement standards promulgated in Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 30. Specifically, the Foundation (1) could not provide support for any of its general journal entries; (2) included duplicate transactions in its accounting system; (3) recorded labor charged to EPA grants incorrectly; (4) could not support the recorded indirect costs; (5) claimed unallowable preaward costs; (6) recorded EPA cash draws inaccurately; (7) did not submit required indirect cost proposals to EPA; (8) did not complete the required single audits for fiscal years ended June 30, 2003, June 30, 2004, and June 30, 2005; and (9) did not submit a Federal Cash Transactions Report when required.
The Foundation’s procurement practices and procedures did not comply with the grant regulations. The Foundation awarded sole source contracts without performing the cost/price analysis required by Title 40 CFR 30.45. It also awarded a contract to a member of its Board of Directors, contrary to the conflict of interest provisions at Title 40 CFR 30.42, and reimbursed a contractor for billings above contractual ceilings. Because the Foundation did not adequately document its costs and did not comply with the EPA regulations, we questioned the Federal share claimed of $25,372,590.
The America’s Clean Water Foundation disappeared soon after the discovery of financial shenanigans.
Charles “Chas” Freeman is toast! The brilliance of Obama’s vetting process continues
Another day, another Hussein Obama nomination, Charles “Chas” Freeman, bites the dust. Freeman was selected to serve as chairman of the group that prepares the U.S. intelligence community’s most sensitive assessments. Freeman who is best known for his China / Saudi Arabia ties and Israel/America bashing, decided to request that his selection not proceed, according to Washington Independent:
Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair announced today that Ambassador Charles W. Freeman Jr. has requested that his selection to be Chairman of the National Intelligence Council not proceed. Director Blair accepted Ambassador Freeman’s decision with regret.
The tax cheat Tim Geithner is all alone…. Awww.
Poor little tax cheat Tim Geithner. Can’t find anyone to work with him. His deputies last week resigned (maybe they don’t have tax problems). I suppose the liberal whiners can always blame Bush for this problem. Let us remember, that this was the man who just HAD to be confirmed as Treasury Secretary despite his tax cheating, because he was so brilliant, and was going to help Hussein Obama magically fix everything ailing the country! Of the 15 key Treasury Department positions that require Senate confirmation, only one has been filled. Stuart Levey, a leftover from the previous administration, who as under secretary of the treasury for terrorism and financial intelligence, is not central to the crisis management however.
Unemployment figures which revealed Friday that 651,000 jobs were lost in February, showed the recession is running ever deeper, but Geithner, who started work in late January, has no deputy secretary, no under secretaries for international affairs and no deputy under secretaries.
Annette Nazareth, who had been expected to be chosen as deputy secretary — Geithner’s top aide — has withdrawn her name, the Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition, citing people familiar with the matter.
The former Security Exchange Commission head “withdrew in large part because of the long vetting process” President Barack Obama has put in place to choose members of his government, the daily said.
Geithner’s choice for undersecretary for international affairs, Caroline Atkinson, also took her name out of the running, only weeks ahead of the April 2, Group of 20 developed and developing nations summit in London.
The ‘tired’ excuse again, this time for Hillary Clinton
With all the talk during the election about how ‘old and tired’ John McCain would be, since he’s such an old man, it seems the tired excuse is getting to the new Hussein Obama adminsitration. First it was the ‘tired’ and ‘overwhelmed’ excuse when Obama embarassed the country with the 25 dvds given to Gordon Brown. Now apparently Hillary is tired too. Forget the whole reset button where she couldn’t even translate to Russian correctly. It seems orget the fact that State can’t translate Russian. Hillary doesn’t understand history. period! Reuters shows more brilliance from Hillary regarding the European Parliament:

Another tax cheat Tim Geithner failure – choice for deputy withdraws
Annette Nazareth, the tax cheat’s choice to be his chief deputy withdrew from consideration Thursday, dealing a setback to the agency as it struggles to address the worst financial crisis in decades. Nazareth’s reason is “a personal decision” to withdraw from the process, according to a person familiar with her decision and Yahoo.

“Sexiest Man Alive” Sanjay Gupta wouldn’t be taking the Obama Surgeon General position after all. The so called reason for this according to Wapo
Sources said Gupta told CNN executives that he wanted to devote more time to his medical practice and to his duties at the network.

But get this, “Chas”’s problems aren’t tax related (as of yet). So whats the problem with Chas? It seems the Obama administration apparently never noticed Freeman’s connections to foreign governments when it chose Chas. Freeman has longstanding financial ties to the Saudis, and once complained that the Chinese didn’t act quickly enough to oppress the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989:
An independent inspector general will look into the foreign financial ties of Chas W. Freeman Jr., the Obama administration’s pick to serve as chairman of the group that prepares the U.S. intelligence community’s most sensitive assessments, according to three congressional aides.
The director of national intelligence, Dennis C. Blair, last Thursday named Mr. Freeman, a veteran former diplomat, to the chairmanship of the National Intelligence Council, known inside the government as the NIC. In that job, Mr. Freeman will have access to some of America’s most closely guarded secrets and be charged with overseeing the drafting of the consensus view of all 16 intelligence agencies.
His selection was praised by some who noted his articulateness and experience as U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia and a senior envoy to China and other nations. But it sparked concerns among some members of Congress from both parties, who asked the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s inspector general, Edward McGuire, to investigate Mr. Freeman’s potential conflicts of interest.
Mr. Freeman has not submitted the financial disclosure forms required of all candidates for senior public positions, according to the general counsel’s office of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
That tax cheat who just had to be confirmed, Tim Geithner proving that he can’t handle the pressure of the job
Remember when everyone (well almost everyone) was praising Obama for selecting the “brilliant” and “gifted” Tim Geithner? Then came the tax problems, and all we heard from the Obama admin was that he MUST BE CONFIRMED to handle this ‘crisis’ we are in. This Yahoo article sheds some light on the problem
For five weeks, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has battled the worst economic crisis in generations with no key deputies in place. That’s made for a rocky debut for the man President Barack Obama put in charge of addressing the financial crisis.
With an awkward first television appearance, a bank rescue plan that lacked promised specifics and two restructured bailouts that raised taxpayer risk, Geithner has failed to calm financial markets desperate for answers.
Critics say part of the problem is that Geithner is flying solo: Not one of his top 17 deputies has been named, let alone confirmed. And without senior leadership, lower-level Treasury employees can’t make decisions or represent the government in crucial conversations with banks and others.
