Day 64: Obama overruled! Deepwater Drilling Ban Lifted by New Orleans Federal Judge Martin Feldman

One of the few things Obama has actually done during this oil spill disaster aside from playing golf and having lavish White House parties was to temporarily halt all drilling in waters deeper than 500 feet on May 27. This little farce wa an attempt to give his so called “commission” time to study improvements in the safety of offshore operations. More than a dozen Louisiana offshore service and supply companies sued U.S. regulators to lift the ban. Today New Orleans federal judge Martin Feldman lifted the six-month moratorium on deepwater drilling imposed by Obama. According to Bloomberg, U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman today granted a preliminary injunction, halting the moratorium. He also “immediately prohibited” the U.S. from enforcing the ban. Government lawyers told Feldman that ban was based on findings in a U.S. report following the sinking of the Deepwater Horizon rig off the Louisiana coast in April.

Day 63: Obama To Earn Nearly $85 Million From Gulf Oil Disaster

bp-obama-logoWell isn’t this interesting? Check out what AdamDodson.org revealed. Obama will earn nearly $85 MILLION from this gulf oil disaster! No wonder he has all this time for golfing, parties, and never spoke to BP CEO Tony Hayward! It’s all becoming all too clear now:

“Goldman Sachs wasn’t alone either in its astute “foreknowledge” of the collapse of BP’s stock value due to the Gulf disaster as BP’s own chief executive, Tony Hayward, sold about one-third of his shares weeks before this catastrophe began unfolding too.

But according to this FSB report the largest seller of BP stock in the weeks before this disaster occurred was the American investment company known as Vanguard who through two of their financial arms (Vanguard Windsor II Investor and Vanguard Windsor Investor) unloaded over 1.5 million shares of BP stock saving their investors hundreds of millions of dollars, chief among them President Obama.

For though little known by the American people, their President Obama holds all of his wealth in just two Vanguard funds, Vanguard 500 Index Fund where he has 3 accounts and the Vanguard FTSE Social Index Fund where he holds another 3 accounts, all six of which the FSB estimates will earn Obama nearly $8.5 million a year and which over 10 years will equal the staggering sum of $85 million.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski admits she has been “working with the White House” on oil spill talking points

msdncAnd i’m sure she’s not the only one. Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC isn’t exactly the brightest tool in the shed, so she might not have realized the impact of admitting the truth. According to Newsbusters, Mika Brzezinski could be seen reading from her notes during exchanges with former GE CEO Jack Welch, who was critical of the Obama’s handling of the spill. After repeated ribbing from Welch and Joe Scarborough over her use of White House talking points, Mika Brzezinski admitted the truth:

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Do you want to know why I have a file that I’ve been working on with the White House—and I’ll be very transparent about that? Because of your friend Rudy Giuliani who came here last week spewing out a whole bunch of nothing.

Obama’s oil spill “panel” lacks technical expertise but is quite adept at talking publicly about “America’s addiction to oil”

bp-obama-logoWhat a shock! Well, not really Obama’s Gulf of Mexico oil spill “panel” lacks technical expertise to deal with the oil cleanup, but has plenty of political talking points talking about “America’s addiction to oil.” According to Yahoo/AP Only one of the seven commissioners, the dean of Harvard’s engineering and applied sciences school, has a prominent engineering background — but it’s in optics and physics. Another is an environmental scientist with expertise in coastal areas and the after-effects of oil spills. Both are praised by other scientists. The five other commissioners are experts in policy and management.

Ed Markey releases internal BP document stating that oil spill could spew 100,000 barrels a day into the Gulf of Mexico

bp-obama-logoDemocrat of Massachusetts Ed Markey on Sunday released an internal BP document that shows the oil spill could spew 100,000 barrels a day into the Gulf of Mexico, far more than has been estimated in public accounts. According to Fox News, the worst-case scenario is based on what would happen if the damaged wellhead were removed and not capped. The document showed a low-ball estimate of 55,000 barrels per day.

Oil could keep gushing for another two to four years thanks to BP!

bp-obama-logoAccording to the Christian Science Monitor, the underwater oil field still holds 94 to 97 percent of its oil, meaning that it could keep gushing for another two to four years. This is what BP CEO Tony Hayward said on Friday before popping off to jolly ole England for his Yacht Racing today. The reservoir that feeds the gushing well in the Gulf of Mexico probably still holds about 2 billion gallons of oil.

Obama goes to a Nationals baseball game, hits the links with Joe Biden as the oil gushes

bp-obama-logoWhile the lame stream media is going nuts over Tony Hayward attending a Yacht race in England (which I really don’t blame them too much for), have you heard a word about Obama’s activities? Probably not. Last night he decided to go to a Washington Nationals baseball game. Who were they playing? His beloved hometown Chicago White Sox. I doubt he really cared that Stephen Strasburg on the mound for the Nationals. The Washington Post did cover this story and as usual continued to keep their lips firmly placed on his backside. Check out how Alexa Steele  described things:

After hunkering down for several weeks to deal with the oil spill, President Obama finally made it out of the house for some fun – and showed up at the Nationals game on Friday night.

Hunkering down? Maybe Steele means hunkering down on the GOLF instead of the Gulf. Today Obama decided to hit the links (again) with the dumbest Vice President in U.S. history Joe Biden. According to The Hill, The White House pool report noted that Obama left at about 1 p.m. for the course at Andrews Air Force base, and his golfing partners included White House Trip Director Marvin Nicholson and photographer David Katz.

Tony Hayward goes Yacht Racing in England’s Isle of Wight

What a complete and utter POS. This jerkoff Tony Hayward’s arrogance is incredible. Only Obama’s arrogance can even compare to Hayward’s. After complaining he wants his life back a few weeks ago, Tony Hayward spent Saturday, June 19th took time off to attend a yacht race around England’s Isle of Wight. According to the Wall Street Journal, Hayward’s decision didn’t sit well with people in the U.S. who have seen their livelihoods ruined by the two-month oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Man, that ain’t right,” said Bobby Pitre, who runs a tattoo shop in Larose, La. “None of us can even go out fishing and he’s at the yacht races. I wish we could get a day off from the oil too.”

Robert Wine, a BP spokesman in Houston, said it was the first break that Mr. Hayward has had since the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded April 20, killing 11 workers and setting off the undersea oil gusher. Aww, my heart bleeds.

“He’s spending a few hours with his family at a weekend. I’m sure that everyone would understand that,” Mr. Wine said Saturday.

I wonder if Hayward will understand how many lives (both human and animal) he and his company have ruined. Not like he cares anyway. Maybe the “little people” will understand.

Environmentalists including WildEarth Guardians call on Obama to fire Ken Salazar

ken-salazarWho knew that environmentalists were racist and anti-Hispanic? According to Fox News, a coalition of environmental groups and scientists is calling on Obama to fire Interior Secretary Ken Salazar for his “failed policies” that it says led to the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion in April that killed 11 workers and set off the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that BP and the government is struggling to contain. I’d actually tend to agree with these whackjobs on this, I’m sure if I did I’d be later as racist or anti-Hispanic. The conservation group, WildEarth Guardians, has mobilized 100 other environmental groups and scientists to sign a letter to the president, saying Salazar, “like his predecessors in the George W. Bush administration, has failed to place science above politics and prioritize federal environmental protections above accommodations for ecologically harmful industries.”

The letter noted that some of the groups opposed Salazar’s nomination last year because of his “flawed record on natural resource issues.”

“The intervening 16 months, unfortunately, have confirmed that Mr. Salazar will not fulfill your administration’s promises to safeguard the environment in this country or globally,” the letter reads. “Rather, Mr. Salazar has either embraced or failed to reform many of the destructive policies of the previous administration.”

“The secretary is devoting 100 percent of his time to the fight to protect the Gulf Coast from BP’s oil spill and will not rest until the leak is stopped, the affected communities are made whole, and the Gulf Coast is restored,” Interior spokeswoman Kendra Barkoff said in a written statement.

Obama’s MMS knew back in February that BP was struggling to seal cracks in it’s Macondo well

bp-obama-logoYet another fine job by Obama’s government. According to Bloomberg, BP filed a report with the Minerals Management Service that were later delivered to congressional investigators. The reports state that BP was struggling to seal cracks in its Macondo well as far back as February, more than two months before an explosion killed 11 and spewed oil into the Gulf of Mexico. Cracks in the surrounding rock continued to complicate the drilling operation during the ensuing weeks. Left unsealed, they can allow explosive natural gas to rush up the shaft.

“Once they realized they had oil down there, all the decisions they made were designed to get that oil at the lowest cost,” said Peter Galvin of the Center for Biological Diversity, which has been working with congressional investigators probing the disaster. “It’s been a doomed voyage from the beginning.”

Bart Stupak: Hey, lets use BP Escrow fund for health care!

stupak-chumpLooks like Bart Stupak let the cat out of the bag on this one!

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.): “I think we had to have someone say this is where you can go without limiting your criminal liability or civil liability. For instance, the question is brought up, pay for all of the health care for the people in the Gulf. No, but Ithink those who lost their job, then lost their health care would be legitimate.”

RACIST! Eugene Robinson turns on Obama too after failed oval office speech

Eugene Robinson is one of the main Washington Post hacks who always complains that whenever someone dare criticize the failure that is Obama, they are simply gun-toting, Bible thumping, racist haters. Yet today Robinson writes how his “heart sank” when Obama began to babble on about Energy Secretary Steven Chu and his Nobel Prize.

For weeks, administration officials have been trumpeting Chu’s distinction at every opportunity. Earlier in the day, White House environmental guru Carol Browner cited the Nobel in a television interview. Presidential adviser David Axelrod talks about the Nobel all the time, as does Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. If there’s an official list of administration talking points about the response to the oil spill, “Chu’s Nobel” has to be at the top.

We can all applaud Chu’s accomplishment. But here’s the thing: Chu is a physicist, not an engineer or a biologist. His Nobel was awarded for the work he did in trapping individual atoms with lasers. He’s absurdly smart. But there’s nothing in his background to suggest he knows any more about capping an out-of-control deep-sea well, or containing a gargantuan oil spill, than, say, columnist Paul Krugman, who won the Nobel in economics. Or novelist Toni Morrison, who won the Nobel in literature.

In fact, Chu surely knows less about blowout preventers than the average oil-rig worker and less about delicate coastal marshes than the average shrimp-boat captain. His credentials, in this context, are meaningless. So do the president and his aides cite Chu’s beside-the-point Nobel to reassure Americans that the team handling the oil spill knows what it’s doing? Or are Obama, Browner, Axelrod, Gibbs and the others constantly trying to reassure themselves?

Maybe Robinson simply doesn’t like Asians?

BP executives to set aside $20 billion in escrow fund to pay compensation to victims of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill

bp-obama-logoAccording to Fox News, BP will set aside $20 billion for an escrow fund to pay compensation to victims of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

A preliminary deal with the White House arranges for the company responsible for the largest manmade environmental disaster in U.S. history to set aside the money in a fund to be administered by “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg.

BP Oil Leak Rate Called 8 Times Worse than first feared

bp-obama-logoOil is flowing out of BP’s leak in the Gulf of Mexico at a rate eight times faster than officials previously acknowledged, raising worries that BP’s containment efforts can do little to fight a spill that already may be six times the size of the Exxon-Valdez disaster. According to ABC the initial estimate following the disaster pegged the rate at 1,000 barrels per day. Next, BP and the federal government maintained for weeks that the flow was 5,000 barrels per day. Today a federal task force assigned to examine the rate came up with a far different number — a likely flow of 20,000 to 40,000 barrels per day before the riser pipe was cut. According to the highest estimate, some 87.3 million gallons of crude have leaked into the Gulf so far, far worse than BP and the government’s previous worst-case scenarios.

60 Million gallons later, Obama finally set to BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg

bp-obama-logoVia Reuters:

Obama and senior administration officials will meet BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg next Wednesday, the White House announced on Thursday.

Not bad, only 2 months after the spill and millions upon millions of gallons of oil leaked into the Gulf of Mexico. That’s what I call leadership (NOT!)

Day 52 of oil spill: Deadfish Rahm Emanuel’s ties to BP – 5 year rent free DC apartment from Stanley Greenberg

rahm-emanuel-3Want some more reasons why Obama hasn’t bothered contacting BP CEO Tony Hayward and has been so lackadaisical in dealing with the oil spill? Maybe it has to do with deadfish Rahm Emanuel’s 5 year rent free DC apartment from Stanley Greenberg. While Greenberg is probably best known for being a political strategist who has advised the Bill Clinton campaigns during the ’90s and being married to the ugly Connecticut congresswitch Rosa DeLauro. But what wasn’t commonly known until Andrew Malcolm of the L.A. Times exposed it, is that Greenberg’s consulting firm was a prime architect of BP’s recent rebranding drive as a green petroleum company, down to green signs and the slogan “Beyond Petroleum.” According to the the story, Greenberg’s company is also closely tied to a sister Democratic outfit — GCS, named for the last initials of Greenberg, James Carville, another Clinton advisor, and Bob Shrum, John Kerry’s 2004 campaign manager.

Major Part of Democrats Cap-Trade Bill ‘Essentially Written by BP’

bp-obama-logoWell this might explain why Obama hasn’t bothered contacting BP Ceo Tony Hayward. It also might explain why some 50 days later, Obama is still looking for “who’s ass to kick.” According to CNSNEWS, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said that BP, the energy company responsible for the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, helped craft the bill proposed by Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) that would tax businesses for carbon emissions and raise the cost of fuel for American consumers.

“The problem for Democrats is that debating the Democrat cap-and-trade bill might not fit neatly into the White House messaging plan since it’s been widely reported that a major part, a major part of the Kerry-Lieberman bill was essentially written by BP,” McConnell said on the Senate floor on Wednesday. “Let me say that again. A major part of the Kerry-Lieberman bill was written by BP. This is clearly an inconvenient fact.”

Day 51 of oil spill: U.S. and BP rejected Dutch help to plug oil spill three days after it started

bp-obama-logoThree days after the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico, the Dutch government offered to help. It was willing to provide ships outfitted with oil-skimming booms, and it proposed a plan for building sand barriers to protect sensitive marshlands. According to the Houston Chronicle though, Obama and BP basically said “thanks, but no thanks.” Hows things working out 51 days later?

The response from the Obama administration and BP, which are coordinating the cleanup: “The embassy got a nice letter from the administration that said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,’” said Geert Visser, consul general for the Netherlands in Houston.

Day 49 of the oil spill: Vulgar Obama! NBC Matt Lauer interview – Obama says he doesn’t talk folks because they potentially have the best answers to fix the oil spill, but rather “So I know whose ass to kick.”

bp-obama-logoGreat to know isn’t it? Obama isn’t meeting with people to get the best answers on how to fix the oil spill problem in the Gulf of Mexico, but rather so he knows “”So I know whose ass to kick.” As if the “keeping the boot on BP’s neck” from Ken Salazar wasn’t bad enough. Here’s a preview of Obama’s interview with Matt Lauer tomorrow morning:

I was down there a month ago before these talking heads were paying attention. I was talking with fishermen in the rain talking about what a crisis this could be. I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar we talk to these folks bc they potentially have the best answers so I know whose ass to kick.
