According to CNSNEWS, which quotes numbers from Planned Parenthood’s latest annual report, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) received $487.4 million in tax dollars over a twelve-month period and performed 329,455 abortions. The period doesn’t cover last year when Republicans owned the House, instead it covered the period of July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010.

According to Fox News/AP the activist judge, Tanya Walton Pratt granted Planned Parenthood’s request for an injunction in striking down the law’s defunding provision as unconstitutional. Tanya Walton Pratt also said states cannot disqualify Medicaid providers merely because they also offer abortions. So that gives tax payers more responsibility for paying for abortions.

But Perdue’s failure was confirmed when the North Carolina House and Senate overrode Perdue’s veto as both houses of the state legislature have agreed to override the veto pro-abortion Gov. Bev Perdue’s budget veto. According to Life News, North Carolina becomes the third state the defund the abortion mill known as Planned Parenthood.

Mike Pence has introduced a bill in the House that would prohibit abortion providers from receiving federal funds through Title X of the Public Health Service Act. This includes Planned Parenthood, which got over $360 MIILLION in tax payer money via government grants and contracts in Fiscal Year 2008-2009.
