On a Thursday conference call Nancy Brinker, the founder and CEO of the Komen Foundation, told reporters that the organization is “singularly focused” on combating breast cancer, and that the politics of the decision to stop funding Planned Parenthood has been distracting from their mission.

Nevertheless, since cutting ties, Brinker announced that Komen’s donations have gone up in the last two days — by 100 percent.

“Our donations are up 100 percent in the past two days. With all of the emotion around these issues — which we understand, we get emotional too, we do this every single day of our lives,” Brinker said, explaining that they do not make decisions to be popular, they make them to fight cancer.

Figures from August directly from the Komen for the Cure foundation show 18 affiliates of the breast cancer charity gave a total of more than $569,000 to the Planned Parenthood abortion business in 2010. That was down from the $731,303 Komen officials publicly confirmed in October 2010, when they acknowledged that 20 of the 122 Komen affiliates gave to Planned Parenthood during the 2009 fiscal year.

Now, Komen says it is halting all grants due to the impending investigation in Congress of the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Its new guidelines prevent it from funding any group under congressional investigation.

When compared with previous annual reports, the latest one shows an almost steady increase in the number of abortions performed at its clinics: In 2006, Planned Parenthood did 289,750 abortions; in 2007, it did 305,310; in 2009, it did 331,796; and, in 2010, it did 329,445–a small decrease from the previous year.

The state legislature approved a measure to remove federal funds from the pro-abortion organization in its state budget. In North Carolina, the abortion business receives $434,000 through state family planning programs aimed at reducing teen pregnancies and providing birth control. Although the money can only be used for non-abortion services, the same organization is also the nation’s largest abortion business — doing more than 330,000 annually and comprising more than one-quarter of all abortions in the United States annually.

Try and choke back the tears. Seriously, do these shoulder zit popping progressives make these letters up through a template and just pass them around to all the politicans and media hacks? If Planned Parenthood provides necessary health care services for women, what the hell is Obamacare for? Maybe Boehner can lend O’Donnell some of his kleenex.

“I think it’s really unfortunate Congress can’t come to a resolution on this year’s budget … cutting [Title X] funding would increase the number of unintended pregnancies and increase the number of abortions, so the people who say they’re having this battle about abortion are actually not looking at what the statistics have indicated,” Sebelius told POLITICO Friday. “Federal funds have never supported abortion, do not support abortion, will not support abortion.”

New Jersey state lawmakers also attended the “rally” in New Jersey. Some of those in attendance included attendance were Valerie Vanieri Huttle (D-37), Linda Stender (D-22), Gordon Johnson (D-37), state senator Robert Gordon (D-38) and Connie Wagner (D-38).The Rally took place in front of Planned Parenthood in Englewood, NJ.

“I support family planning and health services for women,” Brown said in a statement. “Given our severe budget problems, I don’t believe any area of the budget is completely immune from cuts. However, the proposal to eliminate all funding for family planning goes too far.”

Of course, the bullsh*t that Brown plays probably will work in a far left state like Massachusetts. With his vote for the Frank-N-Dodd bill, the START treaty, DADT repeal, and now his support to keep tax payer funded abortions going, he’s almost a shoe-in for re-election next year in that state.

But remember. CNN and HLN aren’t left wing biased, and play it straight down the middle.

House members approved the Pence amendment on a 240-185 vote with 9 Democrats joining most Republicans to support de-funding the abortion business. Another 7 Republicans sided with most all of the pro-abortion Democrats in the lower chamber in voting for the pro-abortion organization to receive taxpayer funds.
