“The current economic and political climate, the financing terms mandated by DOE, and Beacon’s recent delisting notice from Nasdaq have together severely restricted Beacon’s access to additional investments through the equity markets,” Chief Executive Officer F. William Capp said in papers filed yesterday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware, according to a recent Bloomberg report.

So basically the “economic and political environment” prohibit Beacon Energy them from operating at a profit. Mmmmkay.

A Tennessee company called Mountain Plaza Inc. that received $424,000 in a stimulus fund grant has gone completely broke.

The grant was approved by both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) for the construction of electrical hookups at a truck stop in Dandridge, TN, “so that truckers wouldn’t have to burn diesel fuel while resting,” reports Fox News Insider.

In other words, thoughts of clean energy and environmental friendly trucks stops most likely influenced the awarding of the grant.

Thursday’s $35 billion measure combined $30 billion for state and local governments to hire teachers and other school workers with $5 billion to help pay the salaries of police officers, firefighters and other first responders. The White House says the measure would “support” almost 400,000 education jobs for one year. Republicans call that a temporary “sugar high” for the economy.

WTF is support? Is that like a new Obama jobs created or saved thing?

Solyndra, as part of its Recovery Act reporting requirements, was required to disclose summary information about how the Recovery Act funds were spent, including the identity of the vendors, their DUNS number, the payment amount and a description of the product/service provided….”

Senate Republicans vote to block $447 billion Obama jobs bill, roll call continues.

Problem for the biased AP is it wasn’t just those evil Republicans who voted down Obama’s union/trial lawyer payoff bill. Three Senate Democrats, including the old codger Dingy Harry Reid voted NAY on the bill as well, making the defeat of the bill bi-partisan. Two other Democrats who are most likely toast in next year’s election, but want to try and play “blue dogs” were Cornhusker Kickback King Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Jon Tester of Montana. Obama’s West Virginia rubber stamp Joe Manchin, the man who replaced KKK Robert Byrd who claimed earlier he wouldn’t vote for the bill, did. Why am I not surprised?

Amazingly, and much to my surprise, no Republicans voted in favor of the porkulus bill. Not even flaming RINOS like the Maine Twins, or Scott Brown. Yea, the bill was that bad.

The president also said at the press conference that his plan could create “as many as 1.9 million” jobs. If that is true, based on the plan’s estimated $447 billion cost, those jobs would cost an average of $235,263 to create.

“Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids?”

Problem for dumb ass Obama, Mr. Baroz is already employed, and teaching English at a Boston area middle school (we used to call these Junior High school.) And you want to trust this nitwit to run the country?

“I had a chance to meet a young man named Robert Baroz. He’s an English teacher in Boston who came to the White House a few weeks ago. He’s got two decades of teaching experience. He’s got a master’s degree. He’s got an outstanding track record of helping his students make huge gains in reading and writing,” the president said.

“In the last few years, he’s received three pink slips because of budget cuts. Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids?”

But Baroz is working in the Boston Public Schools this year as a middle school English teacher.

“I’ve managed to land on my feet, but it’s sometimes at the last minute,” said Baroz, who is endorsing the President’s jobs bill. He told aides to President Obama that others have not been so lucky in finding a job. He did not meet directly with the President.

Baroz of course is a big Obama supporter and supports that union payoff of the new porkulus bill, but claims he never met directly with Obama.

Despite President Barack Obama’s urgency to “pass this bill now,” the American Jobs Act may have to wait until next month, or later, before Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid even brings it to the floor for a vote.

After the epic failure that the first stimulus bill of nearly a trillion dollars was, the Obama regime refuses to predict what it’s son of stimulus aka the American Jobs Act will do in terms of job growth. According to all the eggheads in the White House, we should be at around 6% unemployment today due to the first stimulus. The unemployment rate should never have gone higher than 8.4%. How did that work out? After ZERO jobs were created in August, the unemployment rate stood (somehow) at 9.1%. It’s averaged about 9.4% during the Obama reign of terror. The real unemployment rate which includes people who have just given up looking for a job, or are working part time when they want a full time job stands at a staggering 16.2%. But as Obama says, PASS MY BILL! PASS IT NOW! Yet, there is no numbers from the regime aside from the jacking up of taxes and spending to union thugs. Not one report on how many jobs the so called plan is predicted to create according to Fox News.

Members of Congress now have in-hand the full text of President Obama’s jobs plan, but one key ingredient is missing: how many jobs the White House expects it to create.

If you ask the White House, that is by design.

“I think there’s a danger of ever predicting unemployment rates, because… there’s a lot of things that determine what the unemployment rate is and will be,” Office of Management and Budget Director Jack Lew told reporters in a briefing Monday.

The White House learned that first hand after the incorrect January 2009 predictions of then-president-elect Obama’s advisors were revisited in the press with a fury. Mr. Obama’s economic advisors at the time; Christina Romer and Jared Bernstein, both of whom later worked for President Obama, predicted that passage of a stimulus bill for would keep the unemployment rate below 8%. The Recovery Act passed. The unemployment rate currently stands at 9.1%.

I guess we have to pass the bill to find out how many jobs it creates or “saves.”

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were approximately 141.68 million people counted as “employed” in America back in February 2009. By June of 2011, that number had fallen to approximately 139.33 million, yielding a net reduction in jobs of approximately 2.4 million.
When the economic stimulus – the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — was created, Obama promised that the then-$787-billion spending package would create or save 3.5 million jobs, saying it would preserve the “American dream” for millions of people.

The porkulus bill has turned out to be nothing but a payoff to the union thugs in this country. Oh and it has also been used on really important things like studying cow farts too.

While the number of people with jobs has increased slightly from its low point during the recession – 137.9 million in December 2009 – those 1.9 million jobs have been lost despite $800 billion in stimulus spending.

“The purpose of the November 22, 2010 meeting is to allow the RIAP to have an open dialogue, with input from the public, on issues relating to fraud, waste, and abuse of Recovery Act funds,” says a notice in the Federal Register. Specifically, participants in the meeting will discuss various techniques to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse, as well as larger issues of transparency and public awareness. Portions of the meeting will be open to the public, while other parts will be closed.

I guess the Obama regime’s expensive trip to Asia just wasn’t enough for the tax payers.

Obama said Monday that clogged roads and crumbling infrastructure are costing American lives, eroding productivity and hindering economic growth.

The Social Security Administration sent about 89,000 stimulus payments of $250 each to dead and incarcerated people — but almost half of them were returned, a new inspector-general’s report has found.

The agency was charged with distributing the one-time payments, worth about $13 billion in total, as part of the economic-stimulus package passed in February 2009. Most of the payments were made in May 2009.

Recipients of 352 federal stimulus contracts, grants and loans have failed to report how they spent the money, the status of their projects or how many jobs were funded, according to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

I wonder if that money has found its way into some Democrat campaign coffers?

Scott holds a 46% to 41% edge over Sink when leaners are excluded from the totals. In the previous survey, Scott earned 45% to Sink’s 44% minus leaners.

Seventy-five percent (75%) of Sink’s supporters are certain of their vote in November, as are 71% of Scott’s backers.
