Super Tuesday Virginia GOP primary poll: Romney 68%, Ron Paul 19% (Santorum and Gingrich not on ballot)

This is about as expected as you can get without Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum on the ballot. In Virginia, a Super Tuesday primary state, Mitt Romney smashes Ron Paul 68% to 19%. 13% are still undecided. The Quinnipiac University poll surveyed 1,544 registered voters.

If Mittens continues to plunge like after last night’s losses in Colorado and Minnesota, these numbers might actually get a little closer, but I doubt Paul will catch Romney in Virginia.

While Newt Gingrich has plummeted 19 points in the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll GOP poll, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum are moving up to try and challenge Mittens. According to the poll Romney still leads with 29% of the national GOP vote. Ron Paul has now moved into second place at 21% of the vote, an increase of five points since the latest Reuters poll. Rick Santorum is also on the move. He is up five points to 18%. If this poll is any indication, Mittens isn’t the “anointed one” and there will be a fight for the GOP nomination.

Mittens gets 29% of the vote, Ron Paul gets 21%, Newt Gingrich drops to 20% and Rick Santorum stands at 18%. Only eleven point separate the top and bottom.

Ron Paul campaign claims Newt Gingrich supporters broke Paul supporter’s foot, demand payment of medical bills

Since are are Newt Gingrich supporters around Ron Paul’s rallies? The two candidates compete for two completely different voting bases. According to Daily Caller,The Ron Paul campaign is demanding that Newt Gingrich pay the medical bills for Ron Paul supporter who they claim had their foot broken by Gingrich staffers after theu intentionally stomped on it.

Campaigning at a Florida polling place Tuesday, Gingrich was greeted by Dillard, who held his Paul sign as Gingrich supporters rallied around their candidate.

Gingrich staffers were not pleased with this and, according to a report by Yahoo! News’ Chris Moody, encouraged one another to physically impede the flip-flop wearing Dillard.

One Gingrich security staffer stood in front of Dillard and, according to Moody, “lifted his heeled shoe over Dillard’s bare foot and dug the back of it into his skin, twisting it side-to-side like he was stomping out a cigarette.”

“Just block him!” said another Gingrich campaign aide. “Everyone step on his toes!”

Following the event, Dillard realized that a bruise was forming on his foot.

Ron Paul will skip Florida primary to focus on Nevada and Minnesota

The Paulians wouldn’t be heading to Florida apparently as Ron Paul has decided to skip competing in the Sunshine State, and instead focus on February caucus states Nevada and Minnesota. Ron Paul will not compete in Florida’s Republican primary, instead focusing on the February caucus states of Nevada and Minnesota. Florida is an expensive market to compete in, and according to the Daily Caller, Paul wants to be as “frugal” as possible. I’ll assume this means Paul wouldn’t be at the two debates coming up this week, as Daily Caller doesn’t indicate otherwise.

“We will certainly be promoting this in the most frugal way,” he said. “We will be going to the caucus states, and we will be promoting the whole idea of getting more delegates, because that’s the name of the game.”

Ron Paul’s campaign isn’t lacking for money, as he raises a ton online from small donors via “moneybombs.” But I guess he feels this is better for the campaign.

You’ve probably seen Bill Kristol. He usually appears on Fox News Sunday or “Special Report” during the week with that annoying grin on face. He is also a RINO, Republican establishment tool. Obviously he doesn’t like Ron Paul, or anyone who doesn’t toe the establishment line, like a Mitt Romney. On C-SPAN, he suggested that Ron Paul should leave the Republican Party. While Ron Paul (to me) is a disaster on foreign policy, he has other policies that I agree with, and many younger voters also agree with. If the Republican Party is going to be the “big tent” party, they would be foolish to ignore those who lean libertarian. Of course Paulbots may start going after Kristol now because he’s a “Zionist” or something.

Is CNN manipulating polls for Mittens again? The latest CNN poll shows Romney leading Obama by one point in a head to head match up. Ron Paul trials the Marxist by only two points at 48-46%. Both Romney and Paul are basically in a statistic tie with OMarxist as the differences fall withing the margin or error. Who does the worst in this poll? Newt Gingrich. He trials Obama by nine points, while Rick Santorum trials by six.

Obama would hold a 51%-45% advantage over the former senator from Pennsylvania. And if Newt Gingrich faced off against the president, Obama would lead the former House speaker 52%-43%.

I’m trying to choke back the tears for the “poor victims” of the terrorism in Iran. After one of Iran’s nuclear scientists went kaboom and got blown into fourteen or fifteen bite sized pieces, Ron Paul is in mourning. He said today on Megyn Kelly’s America Live program that we should “empathize” with poor Iran, as they are victims of terrorism. Maybe we should all have a faux emotional meltdown like the people of North Korea did when Kim Jong Il became Kim Jong Dead.

PPP South Carolina Republican Primary poll: Mittens leads, Ron Paul gaining

PPP has been the least accurate of the “major” polling outfits so far with Iowa and New Hampshire. So we’ll see how accurate (or lack there of) PPP turns out for South Carolina. This poll, like others finds Mitt Romney with a slim lead in South Carolina, and Newt Gingrich trialing. But this poll also shows Ron Paul gaining on both front runners, as he stands at 15%, or third in the poll, which beats Rick Santorun. Ron Paul has gained six points in this poll since the New Hampshire primary, while both Romney and Gingrich are basically at the same percentages.

Rick Perry stands at 6%, used car salesman Jon Huntsman is at 5% and somehow Buddy Roemer is at 1%.

Wait, tough guy Newt Gingrich cancels a meeting with supporters in New Hampshire because he can’t handle some smelly occutards or Ron Paul supporters because of “security issues?” Gingrich sure likes to talk tough, especially during interviews and debates, so why can’t he handle a few occutard and Paulbots to meet with his own supporters? ABC reports that Gingrich canceled a scheduled campaign stop at his Manchester headquarters using the excuse of security issues. Obama’s occupiers and Ron Paulians were there to protest him. An occutard named “Vermin Supreme” carried a megaphone and called himself played the “Chicken Dance” song on his loudspeaker.

The Paulians carried signs. They also apparently remade Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” in their own Ron Paulian way. Yea, sounds like a really dangerous group doesn’t it?

Corporal Jesse Thorsen being probed by military for allegedly campaigning for Ron Paul while in uniform

How low will Paulbots go? Pretty low. Allegedly, one of them campaigned for Ron Paul is Iowa, while in his military uniform. According to Big Government, the person who allegedly campaigned for Paul while in uniform is Corporal Jesse Thorsen. Members of the U.S. armed forces are prohibited by Department of Defense Directive from campaigning or participating in public political activities while in uniform. CNN claims that Corporal Thorsen is on “active duty,” but defense sources at the Pentagon and a U.S. Army Reserve Major say that he Thorsen is NOT on active duty.

Pentagon spokesperson George Wright spoke to Big Government:

I can share with you the Army uniform is not in keeping with the letter or spirit of the DOD instruction on political activities. It’s a policy violation. Investigation is an extreme word, I believe the unit is looking into it, they’re aware and they’re considering the next step, but it would be speculative to discuss the potential action of where we are right now. We’re aware that he appeared at that rally and spoke on stage–I mean we’ve seen the tape. He’s a member of the 402nd engineer company of the 372nd engineer brigade of the U.S. Army Reserve in Des Moines, Iowa. I don’t know what his MOS–military occupational specialty–is. I don’t know if he had a break in service or been an active reservist or what.

RedState has an excerpt of one of Paul’s old newsletters in which he claimed that Israelis were behind the WTC bombings in 1993. How did Paul come to these conclusions? A Jewish “friend” told him too? You know for someone who just “doesn’t want to get involved” in other countries problems or issues, Paul sure doesn’t seem to have a problem bashing Israel.

This claim is of course so ridiculous and absurd that even Paul has to protect himself by claiming that “a Jewish friend” told him about it. What a handy rhetorical device! If only Paul had had the foresight to couch all his racist remarks in the newsletters in this way, he wouldn’t have any problems right now! “As a black friend of mine once told me, 95% of all black people in DC are criminal or semi-criminal.” See how effective that is?
