Candidates for RNC chair debate today
GOP insiders and party activists are excited about today’s RNC chairman debate hosted by Grover Norquist and Americans for Tax Reform. Norquist will moderate the debate beginning at 1pm Eastern this afternoon at the National Press Club in Washington DC. The event will be broadcast on C-SPAN and streamed at RNCDebate.org. And lots of conservative Twitter users will be in attendance. HA round-up here. Questions ostensibly will come from grass-roots conservatives, though a heated battle broke out between Ron Paul supporters who want to focus on policy and electoral-driven Beltway strategists like Patrick Ruffini who only want “good” questions that focus on strategy. Chastises Ruffini:
Whether it’s Ron Paul Republicans or movement conservatives or moderates, my message to all is one and the same: the RNC is not a policymaking body — nor should it be. It cannot make Republicans in Congress spend less, worthy a goal as that might be. The RNC’s job is to win elections — period. That means the RNC is made up of good political people — not policy wonks — who with all due respect, you wouldn’t want making policy.
All the candidates for RNC Chairman are good conservatives. RNC members should choose the one who will win elections. As I’ve written over the last few days, technology, strategy, and tactics are not the only things — and success in these areas is inextricably linked to having a Republican message “we can believe in.”

Must be great to live off your daddy’s name in politics. At this rate, Chelsea Clinton could be senator of New York in 2010, and maybe the Obama daughters can become senators of Illinois by 2020.
Theres even been rumors about Bill Clinton taking over Billary’s senate seat, but I guess Patterson prefers a princess instead.
Officials say the daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy will be the governor’s choice to fill the New York Senate seat being vacated by Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Two people close to Gov. David Paterson tell The Associated Press they believe Caroline Kennedy will be his choice, but the governor cautions he’s still looking.
She’s back to 87.4 on InTrade after having flirted with 50 earlier this week. God only knows what sort of arm-twisting’s going on to make this happen despite her awful rollout, but I’m darkly impressed by the fact that they got the speaker of the state assembly to flip from sneeringly anti-Caroline to pro-Caroline in less than a week. Camelot truly is a magical place.

This being the last post for the year 2008, i’d like to wish everyone a happy new year. The site, since openning in August has had a tremdous amount of activity, from both those who agree with my perspective, and those liberals who think that libs can do no wrong. Thats ok, because without both groups, this site wouldn’t be the success that it is. I’d like to thank everyone who has helped (and currently helping) with site development, and all users. Big plans set for 2009 for the site, but most importantly 2009 is shaping up the be one of the most important years (if not the most important year ever) for the United States of America. Here’s hoping that 2009 shapes up to be a lot better for this country than 2008 was (i suppose it cant get much worse). Anyway, happy new year everyone, and God Bless America!

As we are just now hours away (at the time of this posting), we are about to into a historic, yet scary era, with a historic presidency, a hard-pressed economy and Americans trying hard to balance culturally conservative values with political solutions. It has been an impressive year for women with Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin confidently entering into the limelight. Both women sparked hot blogging conversation for months. Dear god, the 3rd Bush may make a run for a senate seat (pray not for POTUS)
Don’t get me wrong. I’m a conservative, I can’t stand liberals, but I’m also but i pray to god that the last in the chain of Bush(es) never makes a run at POTUS. The last two Bush(es) have been nothing but disaster to this country and the last one, “Jeb” with his hick name is probably the worst of the bunch after the 2000 election fiasco. Jeb Bush ran Florida for two terms as Governor, leaving office with astronomic approval ratings, which makes him by far and away the Republican Party’s best bet to hold the Senate seat being vacated by Mel Martinez’ retirement. But will Jeb Bush feel comfortable as a legislator rather than an executive? And will his family name wind up being a hindrance as his brother leaves the White House? Better yet, will Jeb even run for the office?

How stupid (Racist or not) do you have to be to name your two kids “Adolf Hitler” and “Aryan Nation”? Regardless if this whackjob father is racist or not (i’ll take bets as to what you think), does he not realize the crap these kids are gonna have to put up with when they are old enough to goto school? Most of you, have probably heard of the whackjob Atheists in the state of Washington that unveiled an anti-religion placard in the state capitol, joining a Christian Nativity scene and “holiday tree” on display earlier this month. A part of the placard mentioned: “There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and zuperstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.” For those of you who happen watch the Oreilly Show at 8pm EST, you know that this, along with the Gov (another democrat) Chris Gregoire’s allowing of the sign at the capitol building has been beaten to death. Anyway, it seems Michelle Malkin isn’t a fan of Atheists either. I’m hardly a religious person, but I don’t think all Atheists are as extreme as the ones you see on TV with those lame signs they insist on putting up around Xmas.

The so called “maverick” John McCain wouldn’t endorsement Palin for 2012
John McCain the so called “Mr. Honorable”, aka “I love my country” and “Country FIrst” could have at least thrown Sarah Palin a bone for 2012 on George Snuffleupagus’ show today. If not for Sarah Palin, McCain the turncoat who is turning into Colin Powell the 2nd, wouldn’t have got nearly the same amount of votes as he did. Many of you remember how few people would show up to his rallies, and how many would show up when Sarah Palin attended, or the few times Mr. “Country First” let her go off on her own. Maybe Johnny Mac is more concerned these days with letting more illegals flood the boarders in Arizona, or his usual gig of kissing up the media now that he’s officially the loser. And to think, I actually voted for this washed up stiff.
Dead Saddam Hussein storage!
Can you believe it was 5 years ago tonight, the US military captured Saddam Hussein? This of course set off celebrations across the US and Iraq and brought us the apex of national unity on the military adventure that ended the reign of one of the bloodiest tyrants of our generation. In the end, Saddam couldn’t even bring himself to fight with the pistol he held in his hand. Typical cowardly Jihadist.
AP asking Hussein Obama: Why so quiet about your team’s Blago probe?
Ed Rendell says Hussein Obama’s cautious handling of this as an amateur mistake that’s destined to prolong the coverage. Say it aint so eD! Axelrod an amature? The one given a lot of the credit for Hussein Obama’s “perfectly” run campagne? Rahm Emanuel? The same guy who sends out dead fish?: Maybe they’re honestly worried that someone on the team’s exposed and don’t want to give the press any new crumbs until they have their story straight.
Obama’s staff has declined to respond to even basic questions, like who is conducting the probe, how long it will take, what issues are being explored and whether they are working with federal investigators. Obama has promised transparency throughout his service and to divulge contacts his staff has had with Blagojevich’s office in the coming days. But his staff has locked down on inquiries in the meantime…
Emanuel is not a target of the probe, according to people who have been briefed on the investigation.
The two people spoke on a condition of anonymity because the criminal investigation is ongoing. One is a person close to Emanuel, who said he has been told by investigators that he’s not a subject of their probe…
Another question that Obama’s staff didn’t answer is how he knows that his office had no involvement if he had yet to gather all the facts about conversations they had with Blagojevich’s office. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, transition officials said they do not want to release any information on the internal review until it is completed.

Hall and Oates may sound like a cereal to the younger people reading this page, but to old fogies such as myself who grew up in the 80s, they were a popular band during the time. For those who DO know who those washed up two “musicians” are, you might find it funny that they appeared on the John Stewart show, and did a little “music tribute” to Alan Colmes of all people, who is leaving the Hannity and Colmes show in January. Watch the video below. Its fairly obvious the past 20+ years or so haven’t been too kind to these two.

While certainly not Hussein Obama or media bias related, today was a good day in the news. Justice was finally (somewhat) served to the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, as that filthy, murder OJ Simpson was convicted Friday and sentenced to at least 15 years in prison, with a max of 33 years for his role in an armed confrontation with sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel last year.

Obama abandons windfall profit tax plans! Liberals have to hate this!
Obama Hussein’s flipflops continue, and liberals are hating every minute of this. As much as I can’t stand the man, I must admit, he may have finally done something right. It seems little Obama has decided against his “windfall profit tax”, one of the staples of his campagine. Lets see. Obama has scraped this tax plan, has kept Gates, picked Billary as Sec of State. Liberals are going to start giving Hussein the dubya treatment soon.

All I can say is good for you India. I have grown tired of whiny liberals (and republicans) who are always crying and moaning about “torturing terrorists. Here in America, with the being scared to do anything to terrorists and their slimy alies, I’m sure injecting a “jidhadist” with anything, let alone truth serum would be considered “torturing the poor soul”, but according to HotAir, police hope to discover whether gunman Azam Amir Kasab came from Pakistan through the use of “narcoanalysis” aka, injection of truth serum, which is banned in too many countries. The technique was used during the Cold War before it emerged that barbiturate sodium pentothal induced hallucinations, delusions and psychotic manifestations.

Not really surprrising because of the bias of the CBS and CNN “networks”, but according to a live poll conducted by Frank Luntz of Republicans, Independents, and Libs, Sarah Palin destroyed Biden by a landslide.

New York Jewish voters favor John McCain by 22 points!
Bet you wouldn’t hear this on the news, or read about it on any of the so called “mainstream media sites”, but as was mentioned a couple of days ago how John McCain was closing in on Obama in the polls in New York, he may actually have a legit chance at winning New York state. According to Commentary Magazine, the Siena poll, one of the two key polls of New York state voters, has come out with its monthly snapshot of the presidential race in the Empire State. And it’s stunning. It is remarkable, though not eye-opening, that John McCain is now only 5 points behind Barack Obama, 46-41 – not shocking because polls have narrowed to similar margins in New Jersey. (It should be noted, however, that according to a Rasmussen poll released yesterday, Obama is leading in New York by 55-42.)
No, the shocking detail has to do with a wild, 35-point swing toward McCain among Jewish voters. Obama led among them by a margin of 50-37 in August. This month, McCain is actually leading Obama by a margin of 54 percent to 32 percent.
Siena polled 626 likely voters this month. Of those, according to Steve Greenberg, the spokesman for the Siena poll, 77 were Jews, or 12 percent of the sample. That is Siena’s best guess of the size of the Jewish vote in New York state in November. With a sample size that small, the margin of error for the Jewish voter sample is plus-or-minus 11 points.
That means the poll could be off by as many as 11 points in either direction — i.e., McCain could be leading by as little as 11 points or by as many as 33.
The only difference between the September poll and the August poll as a matter of methodology is that in September, Siena polled likely voters, whereas in August it only polled registered voters.
