I’ll try and contain my sadness for Graciela Barrios. Poor illegal is about to lose diabetes care at a Sacramento hospital. But of course, illegals are not a drain on our economy right? Maybe Geraldo Rivera can pay for it, since he constantly whines about racism whenever an illegal alien commits a crime. From Google:
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Graciela Barrios, an undocumented immigrant with few resources, has long relied on the county health clinic for the advice, medication and tests that have kept her diabetes under control.
But next month, Barrios and thousands like her will be on their own, and many more people across the nation face the same fate.
Bowing to recession-related budget pressures, Sacramento County recently took the drastic step of cutting non-emergency health services for illegal immigrants. Contra Costa County, on the east side of San Francisco Bay, will vote on a similar measure Tuesday.
Local health systems in other states are facing similar decisions as health officials find themselves trapped between dwindling federal, state and local funding streams and the growing number of newly uninsured who need services.
“The general situation there is being faced by nearly every health department across the country, and if not right now, shortly,” said Robert M. Pestronk, executive director of the National Association of County and City Health Officials, based in Washington.
Data on the cost of health care for unauthorized immigrants is hard to come by, because community clinics and hospitals usually do not ask patients for their immigration status. But the Pew Hispanic Center estimates that about 59 percent of the 11.9 million illegal immigrants living in the United States have no health insurance, making up about 15 percent of the nation’s approximately 47 million uninsured.
As the financial crisis takes a toll on local health systems and job losses spike the number of uninsured, health providers are finding it increasingly difficult to meet the needs of the people they serve, said Pestronk.

Ms. McCain, apparently has forgotten what Russell Brand said about her dad’s running mate and family? She also must have forgotten what he said about President Bush.

I’m not a smoker, never have been, so I really don’t care about a tax hike for smokers, aside from when the Government lies through its teeth. Smokers who were preparing to take a hit to their wallets next month are learning to their surprise that the era of nearly $5-per-pack cigarettes arrived early. According to the St. Petersburgh Times, on April 1, the federal government boosts its tax on cigarettes to help pay for a children’s health care program. But many tobacco companies, in anticipation of the extra 62-cent tax, decided to implement price hikes now — about three weeks early.

Wal Mart stocks downgraded with Card Check looming
Obama and the democrat’s war on business continues. As Spectator.org writes:
A Citigroup analyst has downgraded Wal-Mart’s stock writing that it would increase labor costs and and pinch their profits. “We believe that (Wal-Mart) would be the primary target if EFCA/card check were to be passed,” the anlayst wrote. Just what the economy needs.

He’s done a bang up job alright, like crashing and burning and turning the GOP into a bigger circus than before. Not only do he pathetically cower to gangbanger lookalike DL Hughley’s “Nazi” comment about the CPAC, but now he’s also pissed off Mike Huckabee’s Christian base. According to AOL however, Michael Steele’s tenure as RNC chair could be over before it really begins, if recent reports are true. Anonymous Republican sources have told 2 different outlets that Steele’s ouster may be imminent.
Obama, tax cheat Geithner Get Low Grades From Economists according to WSJ

U.S. President Barack Obama and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner received failing grades for their efforts to revive the economy from participants in the latest Wall Street Journal forecasting survey.
In striking contrast to President Obama’s popularity with the public, a new Wall Street Journal survey of economists gives the president and his treasury secretary failing grades. WSJ’s Phil Izzo and Kelly Evans discuss.
The economists’ assessment stands in stark contrast with Mr. Obama’s popularity with the public, with a recent Wall Street Journal/NBC poll giving him a 60% approval rating. A majority of the 49 economists polled said they were dissatisfied with the administration’s economic policies.
On average, they gave the president a grade of 59 out of 100, and although there was a broad range of marks, 42% of respondents rated Mr. Obama below 60. Mr. Geithner received an average grade of 51. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke scored better, with an average 71.

Just 27% of voters nationwide favor passage of a second economic stimulus package. The latest Rasmussen Reports nationwide telephone survey found that 55% are opposed and 19% are not sure.
Despite the public opposition, 74% say it’s likely that Congress will try to pass another stimulus
Speaking of those “hoping for a president to fail”. How about James Carville?
Lets see. There was this major uproar by whiny democrats about how Rush Limbaugh mentioned he wanted Obama’s socialist polices to fail. HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH A THING! How could you ever want a President of the United States to Fail! Even Republican! Then we learned about how 51 percent of Democrats hoping Bush would fail — two raging wars notwithstanding. Today we learn from Fox News that yet another promienet Democrat, James Carville wanted BOOOOOOOOSH to fail as well. On September 11th, 2001 no less!

“We rush into these focus groups with these doubts that people have about him, and I’m wanting them to turn against him,” Greenberg admitted.
The pollster added with a chuckle of disbelief: “They don’t want him to fail. I mean, they think it matters if the president of the United States fails.”

As the “Going Galt” phenomon continues to spread, and more and more people get outraged at welfare distribution, Michelle Malkin’s e-mail inbox is filled with letters from Americans expressing how they are Going Galt. These people “refuse” to bow down to and allow Government to punish them for their success. Michelle Malkin posted some of her recent e-mails, videos and other blogs of others who are going public about “Going Galt”. Theres even a new Twitter hashtag: #goinggalt.

Several key Senators, including democras are having second thoughts about their support of legislation that would give more power to labor unions, dealing a setback to labor’s top priority as businesses warn of the damage the bill would cause. This includes Democrat Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska.
Obama wouldn’t debate “evils” like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, but has no problem speaking to “moderate Taliban”, which is completely useless
Hussein Obama, in an interview with the New York Times on Saturday is basically said we can’t win in Afghanistan and that he would be “open” to reaching out to “moderate” elements of the Taliban there. So basically what Hussein is saying, is that he wants to reach out to “moderate” terrorists and killers? This is insane! More insane than giving 25 NTSC encoded DVDs to Gordon Brown to take back to England and try to play on a PAL DVD player. Heres a quote from Reuters:

Now someone explain somethinh to me here. With right-wingers like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity offering to debate Obama on the issues of this country that they strongly disagree with, Hussein will only bash these people and wouldn’t give them the time of day. But he will speak with “moderate terrorists”?

Poor little tax cheat Tim Geithner. Can’t find anyone to work with him. His deputies last week resigned (maybe they don’t have tax problems). I suppose the liberal whiners can always blame Bush for this problem. Let us remember, that this was the man who just HAD to be confirmed as Treasury Secretary despite his tax cheating, because he was so brilliant, and was going to help Hussein Obama magically fix everything ailing the country! The former Security Exchange Commission head “withdrew in large part because of the long vetting process” President Barack Obama has put in place to choose members of his government, the daily said.
Geithner’s choice for undersecretary for international affairs, Caroline Atkinson, also took her name out of the running, only weeks ahead of the April 2, Group of 20 developed and developing nations summit in London.
Hussein Obama would consider reaching to the Taliban!

In an interview with the New York Times, the president suggested his administration would consider reaching out to moderate elements of the Taliban. A similar approach has been used successfully by the U.S. military in Iraq, although the president cautioned that the situation in Afghanistan is “more complex.”

I would assume Obama licker Whoopie Goldberg is considered in the “rich” category, so her taxes will be skyrocketing. Yet until today, she would praise Obama at any chance she would get with the other hags on The View like Joy Behar and Barbara Walters. Today however, now that reality is setting in, and she is inline for these tax hikes, Whoopie goes galt (watch the video at the 3:30 point):
