Maine Republican Caucus – February 11, 2012

Coming off his  sweep of three states on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012, many wondered if Rick Santorum could pull off another miracle victory and take Maine, a liberal Northeastern, Rockefeller state. Ron Paul was also heavily campaigning in the states with thoughts that he may be able to win it. But Mitt Romney ended up beating Ron Paul by a slim margin of 200 or so votes. Hardly an impressive win for Romney who was expected to win easily in Maine as he did in 2008. But a win none the less, after his embarrassment in Colorado, Missouri and Minnesota.
