Michigan was the biggest question mark of the night of February 28th. Would Mitt Romney pull out a win in his birth state? Or would Rick Santorum upset him here? The polls leading up to this primary flip flopped between Romney and Santorum. Mitt Romney eventually ended up winning the primary in his birth state, but only by about 3%. Originally it was reported that the 30 delegates from this state would be split equally between Romney and Santorum because of the split in counties won. Then, they ended up giving Romney an extra delegate, giving him the win over Santorum with 16 delegates to 14.
