The first primary of Super Tuesday goes to Newt Gingrich. CNN projects Newt Gingrich wins the state of Georgia, which was expected. Georgia has the largest amount of delegates available on Super Tuesday at 76. If Gingrich gets over 50% in Georgia, he can get 60% of the total delegates.

Newt Gingrich owns NBC hack David Gregory over faux outrage of Rush Limbaugh’s Sandra Fluke comments (Video)
This is very rich and ironic. NBC hack David Gregory, who is on the same network as Ed Schultz who called Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut” and a “talk-slut” now suddenly has faux outrage over Rush Limbaugh’s comments directed towards Sandra Fluke. Gingrich who appeared on “Meet the Press” on NBC snapped back at Gregory’s questions over the Limbaugh comments. The only thing that Gingrich didn’t get into is what I already mentioned. A hack from Gregory’s same network calling a female a “slut” gets a pass, and no calls for advertiser boycotts. I don’t even think it was mentioned on the Sunday news shows the week Schultz made his comments.
Rasmussen Super Tuesday Georgia Republican Primary poll: Gingrich 38%, Romney 26%, Santorum 20%, Paul 7%
Looks like Newt Gingrich is well on his way to an easy win in the Georgia Republican primary as expected. However, Mitt Romney overtaking Rick Santorum for second place is rather interesting. Mittens isn’t expected to do well in southern states, and Santorum is. The last Rasmussen poll of Georgia had Newt Gingrich winning easily, with Rick Santorum way ahead of Romney in second place. Of course that poll was taken before the Michigan and Arizona Republican primaries last week. That poll showed Gingrich 33%, Santorum 28%, Romney 20%, Paul 9%. This one has Mittens overtaking Santorum and leading him by six. A six point increase for Romney and an eight point decrease for Santorum.

Santorum within five of Newt Gingrich in his home state of Georgia? Wow! I still think Newt Gingrich will win the Super Tuesday Georgia primary, but I’m really surprised it’s this close. According to the latest Rasmussen poll, Newt Gingrich gets 33% of the Georgia primary votes while Rick Santorum gets 28%. Just five percent less than Gingrich in his home state. Mittens is a distant third at 20% and Ron Paul brings up the rear at 9%.

Sheldon Adelson expected to give another $10 million to Newt Gingrich’s Super Pac Winning Our Future
I guess those reports about casino mogul Sheldon Adelson cutting off the cash spigot to Newt Gingrich turned out to be complete and utter bullsh*t again from the lame stream media. According to CNN, Adelson is about ready to send another $10 million to Gingrich’s Super Pac “Winner our Future.” This will make a grand total of $30 million given by Adelson (and his wife) to Gingrich’s Super Pac.

The Adelson family has reportedly given the Newt Gingrich campaign $11 million. $5 million from casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, another $5 million from his wife, and $1 million from his daughter. Now, according to Business Insider, the Adelson family has pulled the plug and closed the cash spigot to Gingrich. That’s the story at least. Business Insider uses the source from Bloomberg that was “anonymous.” So who knows if it’s really true. But judging by Gingrich’s performances in the primary and caucus states this month, I wouldn’t doubt it either.

Super Tuesday ARG Oklahoma primary – Gingrich 34 percent, Mittens 31%, Rick Santorum 16%, Ron Paul 7%
This American Research Group poll was conducted before last night’s Rick Santorum hat trick in Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri, so these numbers may be outdated already. But for now anyway, Newt Gingrich is winning in one of the southern Super Tuesday states by three points. Gingrich leads Romney 39% to 29% among men while Romney leads Gingrich 33% to 30% among women in Oklahoma.

North Carolina GOP primary – Romney 30 percent, Gingrich 30%, Santorum 20%, Ron Paul 11%
I don’t know why one of the least accurate, left wing biased polling outfits like PPP is doing a poll of a Republican primary that isn’t until May the 8th, but I guess they feel it’s relevant now. Personally, I’m far more interested in polls of Arizona, Michigan, and the Super Tuesday states, but what do I know. Anyway, this poll of the May 8th North Carolina GOP primary shows Romney and Gingrich tied at 30%. Rick Santorum coming off his hat trick last night is at 20% and Ron Paul is at only 11%. Obviously this poll hasn’t polled people after the full affect of Santorum’s sweep took place last night.

As I type this, the final totals for the Nevada caucuses aren’t in yet. We don’t know if Gingrich will end up second behind Mitt Romney or third behind Ron Paul. Before Newt Gingrich held his press conference after Romney’s victory speech, rumors were swirling that Gingrich was either going to drop out, or announce a new campaign strategy and “go positive.” What happened was brutal to watch and listen to. Newt Gingrich’s meltdown at the press conference almost seemed like the Howard Dean scream moment from 2004 it was so bad. After getting slaughtered in Florida, Gingrich gave what was probably the best speech of the news with his “46 states to go” speech. This was disgusting.

Super Tuesday Georgia primary poll – Newt 45% Romney 32%
I’m a bit surprised it’s this close in Gingrich’s home state of Georgia. According to 11 Alive, the latest SurveyUSA poll finds Newt Gingrich with a 13 point lead over Mittens for the Georgia primary which is scheduled on March 6th (Super Tuesday.) The poll consists of 459 likely GOP voters on February 1-2, 2012, after Romney’s Florida win, and before his expect big win in Nevada. Rick Santorum gets 9% of the vote and Ron Paul gets 8%.
